I notice they also have limited them to 1 per customer :!:
At the end of the day as we know the profits go back into the museum which helps, $85 is a good price at this point of time, give it a few months & they will be $100+ on Ebay.

Got my 0305's , checking them out, noticed one of the models is missing the rear tail lights on one side only. Must have been an era at the factory. Called trax, and they are shipping out a replacement at no charge. Good customer service, they dont even want the mistake model back.

I ordered mine over the phone, when I seen that they were being shipped, I called TG as I didn't have funds in the account and advised them that funds would be available the next day, 2 days later the models arrived. I would call/email TG to get an ETA of the order.

Actually that bid was for 2498, and $50 more than 1951 last week, but impressive none-the-less.

Surprising there is so much interest in a "second rate" model.

Does this mean the scum purposely aquired several of these models just to scalp later? And no, I don't care if it is technically legal, people that do that should be shot.

To be fair, the seller is the sydney bus museum and all profits will go back into preservation of vehicles

Parhaps SBM making a profit from this is a bit more palatable that a private seller, it is still a bit insensitive to those who missed out, so soon after release.

Yes, but Bairstow, their is profit, then their is profit. (70% mark up of the purchase price is just greedy profit - Ebay doesn't count, except when the starting price is unreasonably higher than it should be)

Sorry, Bus-1809, but you are quite a bit off the mark there. The body on Perth MTT 444 was actually designed and manufactured by an Italian firm, Mauri, although it did employ aluminium parts and construction techniques patented by Swiss company Alusuisse. The components shipped out from Italy were assembled by J W Bolton Pty Ltd, NOT by Howard Porter.

Quote from the Ebay links

Exterior carries every detail of the original and is probably Trux's finest model to date.

Photos of models don't always show them up well.

I'm very satisfied with the Explorer version, but was very disappointed to have missed out on the standard model with Ryde depot on the top. :( :x
How good did that one look in the metal IYO?

The only thing I'm disappointed about the UTA livered model is the L7 is on the rear right hand side of the bus, its not in its normal location above the front wheel.

I could not believe the bids for the 2 that were on Ebay:
SYDNEY Mercedes Benz 0305 bus model. Trux no. TX19B Winning bid: AU $242.50
SYDNEY Mercedes Benz 0305 bus model. Trux no. TX19 Winning bid: AU $325.00

OMG, these may still attract big $$$
