The new Invicta timetables are now online for Routes 663, 664, 670, 671, 672, 675, 676, 679, 680, 691 & 693 effective December 5 2011. Updated maps are also online for some routes.

Key changes include:
Route 663 Belgrave - Lilydale
Peak service now operates at standard 30 minute intervals, instead of varying frequencies. Most Monbulk short workings have been discontinued in favour of full length journeys.
All trips operate via Swansea Rd & York Rd - there are no longer Hereford Rd deviations
Revised weekend timetables

Route 664 Knox City - Chrinside Park
Glen Park deviation modified to run via Ramsay St instead of Hamilton St
20 min peak frequency now operates entire length of route - currently only every 40 mins between Croydon & Chirnside Park. Additional peak trips via Jersey Rd, including PM trips towards Chirnside Park
Weekday interpeak frequency now every 30 mins. This is a service cut from the current 20 minute service between Knox City & Croydon (which dates from the LoRider trial in the mid 90s), but provides increased frequency between Croydon & Chrinside Park. All interpeak trips now operate via Glen Park Rd
Saturday services continue to run at 20 min intervals, with all daytime services now operating via Glen Park Rd (instead of only every 2nd service)
Sunday services continue to run hourly, and no longer extend from Chirnside Park to Lilydale

Route 670 (Ringwood - Swinburne Uni)
Revised weekday and weekend timetables, with some extra trips at school peak times
Appears weeknight trips now operate via Eastland 5 nights a week instead of only on Thursday & Friday

Route 671 (Croydon - Chirnside Park)
Morning peak service now operates every 30 mins instead of every 20 mins. Peak service no longer deviates via Exeter Rd & Maroondah Hwy
Afternoon peak service no longer operated as part of Route 672, which provides an afternoon peak service in Chirnside Village for the first time, as well extending late afternoon departures from Chirnside Park from 16:20 to 19:14. Frequency standardised at 30 min intervals.
Saturday service now runs hourly from 09:00 - 17:00, instead of limited Saturday morning timetable.
Revised route in Chirnside Village

Route 672 (Croydon - Chirnside Park)
Most route variations have been discontinued - service now operates the standard route at all times - currently there are about 8 (!) variations in each direction
Peak service now operates at 30 min intervals, and all peak trips now continue to/from Chrinside Park, instead of running confusing loops between Croydon & Wonga Park or between Croydon & Croydon Hills. Last bus from Chirnside Park to Wonga Park & Croydon Hills is now at 19:26 instead of 16:15.
Last trip ex Croydon on weekdays departs at 20:10 instead of 18:55
Saturday service now runs hourly from 08:30 - 17:00, instead of limited Saturday morning timetable. These trips now run to Chirnside Park instead of running confusing loops between Croydon & Wonga Park.
Route now operates via Chirnside Village on all trips, instead of only a few select trips.
Unclear what happens to TeleBus service in Croydon Hills, but seems the route now operates directly along Yarra Rd at all times.

Route 675 (Mooroolbark - Chirnside Park)
Now operates in peak periods, instead only between 08:30 - 15:00 as currently.

Route 676 (Lilydale East Loop)
Revised weekday timetable
One later Saturday trip at 16:40.

Route 677 (Lilydale - Chirnside Park)
Revised timetable, with peak hour shortworkings between Lilydale and The Gateway estate now extending onto Chirnside Park.
On Saturdays, 3 additional trips are provided in each direction.

Route 679 (Chrinside Park - Ringwood)
Revised peak hour timetable, with extra services providing a more consistent 20 minute frequency
Weekday inter-peak timetable towards Chirnside Park revised to run at flat 30 minute intervals instead of every 25-35-25-35 / 20-40-20-40 minutes (partly due to different running times between every second trip at present!)
Weeknight service doubled to every 30 mins, currently hourly
Appears weeknight trips now operate via Eastland 5 nights a week instead of only on Thursday & Friday
Revised weekend timetables

Route 680 (Lilydale - Mooroolbark)
Weekday peak service now runs at standard 30 min intervals, and large school deviations through Moooroolbark East removed
No longer operates via Swinburne University - Lilydale Campus
No longer has AM peak deviations to Montrose (an overhang from the old Lilydale - Montrose 680 of the 80s & early 90s)

Route 691 (Waverley Gardens - Boronia)
Peak services now operate at 20 minute intervals instead of current 30 minute intervals
Weeknight service extended to approx. 21:00 instead of 20:00
No longer runs to Monash Uni during the AM peak
No longer has trips operating between Boronia & Bayswater during peak periods (an overhang of an unsuccessful full-time route extension in the late 90s / early 00s)
Revised weekend timetables

Route 693 (Belgrave - Oakleigh)
Peak services now run every 20 minutes, instead of every 20 - 30 mins. Peak travel times have also been increased, which should improve reliability.
Weekday inter-peak service doubled to every 30 mins, currently hourly
Weeknight service also doubled to every 30 mins, currently hourly
Peak hour deviations via Monash Uni have been discontinued
Revised weekend timetables

Kind Regards

Craig :)

Some interesting changes.
There will be about 12 - 24 unhappy Monash Uni deviation pax on 693, but majority will benefit from the exercise to FTG Rd.
About time 663 had a set route, as the Hereford Rd deviation confused numberous pax.
664 coming out of Ramsay St, great Idea using the traffic signals, also cutting of Lilydale from Sunday services great, as there was another bus going that way at the same time.
691 going to Monash, has not been required since introduction of 900.
If it works, why change it!

The 672 Saturday timetable was so complicated because it was squeezed into the five and a half driving hours, so that it only required one driver. Then the pain in the arse 675 was squeezed, or should that be, shoe horned into the 671 & 672 shifts and done on the cheap, which is why it only ran off peak.

Good to see that Monash deviation removed from the 693, never did see the sense in deviating for one or two people a trip, only to delay 20 or more others who had better things to do than sit on a bus stuck in traffic, just so a few lazy people could get a few hundres metres closer to where they wanted to go.

I also assume that buses ex Croydon via Glen Park will turn left into Canterbury and right into Ramsay, instead of the crazy arrangement now where they have to drive around in circles, especially the left turn into Glen Park off Bayswater Rd, was ok when it was only midi buses on 664s but now with 12.5m buses common place on this route some drivers have difficulty making this turn without almost wiping out the cars coming out of Glen Park. Might have to read the new run sheets and see what they say.
