Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Evening Fleetlists,
Punchbowl is actually three units in TNSW livery-1 x CB60 delivered m/o 662,2 x CB80 awaiting delivery (1 currently at Volvo Chullora to deliver to PBC next week) and 1 at Customs to go to pre-delivery at Volvo Chullora next week).
The 2 x CB80's are the first two of nine on order all to the same specs.
Kind Regards Punchbowl Tiger Cub

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Hi, sorry for butting in and I didn't know whether to make a new thread or not but can someone explain to me how the TNSW thing is actually being put into place?
Are all revenue operators in NSW being repainted into the TNSW livery or is it just the major operators (Veolia, STA, CDC, etc...). I'm sorry if this has been answered 200 times over but.. yeah.
Thanks,
Mitchul [;

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
As has been explained before, all operators under contract to the NSW Government in Sydney and regional areas such as Central Coast, Newcastle, Blue Mountains and Central Coast will have new buses delivered in the TNSW livery. But at this stage it does not apply to operators in other country areas.
Also where buses are repainted as part of a major refurbishment where it is paid for the the NSW Government, they will be repainted into the TNSW livery. Some other repaints where paid for by the operator may still be into the old livery but the option is there to have such buses repainted into the TNSW livery.
Because of the way it is being done, it will quite a few years before all buses are in this livery.
With just over half a year gone since it commenced, less than 5% of buses with the operators who already have buses in the new livery, are in it at the moment so as said before it wont happen in one or two or three years and probably a lot more than that.
The link in the first post in the thread gives an up to date picture of the operators concerned and % of each fleet which is now in the new livery.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Mr Twig,
I won't enter a debate about Yes or No in regards to individual signage etc on vehicles bout the directive that went out several weeks ago went to ALL operators of TNSW liveried vehicles.
Some operators (not Sydney operators) are still working through issues with TNSW and from what I gather,it isn't over yet-time wil tell I guess but given the strength of TNSW,I guess they will prevail eventually.
On a personal view and I stress this is a personal view,I love my traditional colours on vehicles. The feedback from several sources is 'John Citizen' is having real problems coming to grips with TNSW liveried buses turning up in traditional colour areas so maybe an education program would be appropriate to explain that this is the future direction of buses in Sydney,Newcastle and Wollongong.Us as bus spotters don't have a problem knowing what is going on but the area I live in with a high elderly population, they struggle with changes if not properly explained.
Finally, having now seen quite a few TNSW buses with adds plastered on them-YUK,what is the difference in having some signage to explain the operator of that bus to assist the travelling public.

^^^^ especialy the white AOA on 1032 and blue AOA
1031.
It is odd looking a TNSW busways buses without the signage makes it look bare/naked.

TNSW livery looked great on it. Hopefully we'll be seeing more Red Buses in blue soon.

@Mr twig did it have RedBus near the drivers window?
And fleet at the rear window?

Sorry didn't notice fleet numberScania K-Series wrote:@Mr twig did it have RedBus near the drivers window?

"Red Bus Services" was above drivers window. The front NSW + logo was in a weird spot below driver (most that i've seen are in the centre).
Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
I've seen it a few times in the last 2 weeks on Anzac Rd at Tuggerah on a St Peters school bus. The fleet number at the front sides are above the window line, and the rear ones bellow the windows. I must agree that the NSW logo is in an odd place, I think it would look much better in the centre. I can't wait to see more of the coast's buses in this livery
