Re: Double takes & AOAs

Post by UQB709 »

Don't worry folks, I have no intention of letting any of the few relics I possess from disappearing into the ether.... they'll find a good home such as BPSWA eventually. They have all been rescued from rubbish piles at some point.

I'm not sure about quadruple figures on ebay either... maybe if you include the digits for the cents...

Like the ACDC AOA ,the dates on 1811 gives a clue to how long this AOA will be around for many a photo opportunity.

As posted In the " PTA Obbs Thread " TP3000 Has now got an AOA for Channel 10 " TERRA NOVA ".
This seems be the first AOA for a Perth Silver Low Floor artic or Advertisement alltogether on any of 4 Low Floor artics that are in service ATM, IIRC.

Does anyone remember the AOA or Livery you'd most probably call it (as it was Transperth's own campaign) from back in the 90s on the Renaults ? It was basically a skeletal view of what it would look like if the panelwork were not there showing parts of the chassis and cylinders , wiring etc ... the actual slogan escapes me now but that would have to be my second favourite livery after the 900 series one as discussed previously. can anyone remember this or better yet have pics they could share?
Here is a Transperth publicity shot of 747 - it looks like it was taken at Gosnells, where this bus spent some time. The driver is holding a key which reads December 1989, 200th Renault, Transperth.

It certainly was an eye catching livery - a good way to get public transport noticed, and talked about ;)

I would love to see a few more photos of this livery..
