Dysons New Volvo Bus (11/3/09).
Taken photo of new Dysons #482 & East West #478 are Volvo B7RLE/Volgren CR228L at Bundoora RMIT & Mill Park Area today (11 March).
East West Bus #478
Front shot with front & side destos.
Rear side shot of route number desto at the back.
Dysonsbus #482.
Front passengers side shot with front & Side destos.
Driver's side shot.
Rear side shot with route number desto at the back.
My Comments.
I rode East West Bus #478 from Thomastown to Bundoora RMIT first before I rode Dysons bus #482 minutes later from Bundoora RMIT to Mill Park Area somewhere today was new Volvo B7RLE/Volgren CR228L. That bus was good. It's accelerate ok, but it's smooth to ride. The interior inside the bus a bit similar to the Hillbus & Westbus (NSW) Scania Volgren. "BUS STOP" bell sign located behind driver's spot instead located above front whole windscreen.
Comments Welcome.
Cheers
Bradley.

I don't know whether Dysons #112 on the road or not and sighted #136 (Scania L94UB/Volgren CR222L on route 571 today (11 March).Redhood wrote:Nic pics.

A very interesting livery in the treatment of the headlights in the East West Volgren.
DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A JOB OR GO TO SCHOOL or do you just stand around all day?
Re: Dysons New Volvo Bus (11/3/09).
I think you will find that 478 will be allocated to the 570... and 136 will replace 112 on 571.

The East West Volvo was to replace #112 on track.

The stripes are only vinyls, so they've been cut around the headlamp recesses. If they had been painted on, no doubt they would have extended the stripes into the recesses.eddie2190 wrote:A very interesting livery in the treatment of the headlights in the East West Volgren.

The Volvo B7RLE is probably my favourite current model bus chassis. It provides a smooth ride and considering its a relatively small motor, it gives out more than enough take off speed to make it comfortable to drive.
Hopefully more of these will hit the roads in Melbourne, because in my honest opinion, its considerably better than the 0500LE for example.

Hmmmmm.... mobitec destination units. This should not be encouraged.
This makes Dysons unique, in that in their last 10 new buses, there is a mixture of Southport, Hanover and Mobitec units.

So far, they're doing OK.

I assume for a better view of the kerb? Or is STA/Hillsbus (I assume they're ex-stock) just using them for decorative purposes?B58 Howler wrote:No really, it's a tiny little window.B10BLE wrote:lol, no. to make myself clear, i'm actually talking about that black thing above the indicator in the 3rd photo. :L
