I would say a lot of us are dissapointed on how H.C was destroyed. H.C will live on in our memories.

Re: Tasmanian Bus Observations - AUG 2011
Getting BACK ON TRACK, I noticed LAST week (sorry for the delay) ex Ryans #33 in Metro panel shop. I have since found out that it is Cresswell Coaches' latest addition. Ryan's #33 is a Mercedes Benz OH1621L with AP Starliner body. From what I was told (by the driver who is going to drive it), is they (Cresswell) are going to keep it BLUE
Re: Tasmanian Bus Observations - AUG 2011
Did you also notice #633 in the panel shop?
It looks like #630 returned to Burnie and #633 has come down. It had all panels removed when I saw it this morning.

Re: Tasmanian Bus Observations - AUG 2011
it would seem #130 has gone as yoda spotted #133 in graveyard.. will confirm monday.
Re: Tasmanian Bus Observations - AUG 2011
Both 130 and 133 are in the graveyard lane.
Also there are 193 (heard this is for parts only now), 502 (few remnants remian), 505 (engine and driveline removed, guessing they are destined for 507) and 517 and 518 (both complete).

This left the panel shop today, remaining in the blue.Tas Bus Nut wrote:Getting BACK ON TRACK, I noticed LAST week (sorry for the delay) ex Ryans #33 in Metro panel shop. Traffic delays this morning with a garbage truck catching fire on Macquarie St - made exiting the Hobart bus mall a great game to play

The report on "The Mercury" web-site said it was a council garbage truck. I don't see Hobart City Council on the door.

Re: Tasmanian Bus Observations - AUG 2011
O'Driscolls DEMO CB80 has been working well on the new Norfolk service. See it quite often NOWDAYS, including every day this week, where I've been following it in from Granton. (God it looks good. Even MY passengers made comment the other day, asking if it was OUR (Metro) NEW BUS I politely said NO, we wouldn't get something that good, and explained it was O'Driscoll Coaches, although, OUR next batch may be the same style. I live in hope)
Another Tasmanian board member has joined the ranks @ Metro (hino bt51s 4 ever) Along with yoda, and the return of metro_tas, we are getting overrun by NEWBIES Welcome Michael.

Well, I could have called you Postman Pat but considering you mentioned volunteer Fire Service, I thought Fireman Sam was more appropriateMetroTasCatcher wrote:Fireman Sam? Where did that one come from?

Looking absolutley resplendent, Wallace Coaches' (Ulverstone) MAN 18.350 with King Long body (Fleet #3) was spotted in Hobart this afternoon heading out on the Tasman Highway. Amazing how easily they are recognised after you have "done the tour".
Love this island!
