Changes w/c 14 Aug Morley area

Post by actually »

The new tt isnt available yet but there will be some changes to the Beaufort St tt....some more 22's on Sundays to provide a 15 min service between Beaufort St/Grand Prom and the City (combind with 21 and 67).. also an earlier weekday service from Morley 05:06 and last service ex the City at 00:08 (22's).
Also a few more 345's to Morley mid morning.

After examing through the Eastern 106 timetable, It looks good, but the Sunday timetable sees a gap in services from Morley when there is a 67T due to depart Mirrabooka. After further investigating it turns out during these gaps whether its coincidentally or not, there seems to be at least a 60 or 48 or both departing during that gap period which means there is a guaranteed bus every 15mins between Morley and Perth on Sundays during the majority of the day! Quite good from my perspective and is possibly the most frequently and evenly spaced out served corridor in Perth now? Every 7 mins on weekdays with a double banking (i.e. 22 and 67 leaving at the same time) on some of the times during the day, and a 3 min frequency during peak periods excluding the 66 Limited Stop service which also provides even more capacity on Beaufort St! Saturdays is every 10mins till midday then every 15mins during the afternoon and now Sundays is every 15mins now too! Can't recall anywhere else in Perth with a corridor frequency of every 15mins excluding the CircleRoute!

Change route 66 back to an EXPRESS service and I'll be happier.

I'd think it'd be better off in the 800series numbers so that it is actually recognised as a Express/Limited Stops service. i.e. like the 354/370/870 services to Morley. Perhaps bring back the 866 as the Perth to Morley express service? Double digit numbers should generally be kept for inner city routes.

8xx are Citylink Services Mr OCB. I'd say 346 might be appropriate to keep the numbers together (after the current 346 is changed of course).

No, because I think we're all forgetting the fact, that those are more really Morley Feeders and not inner-city services to the North East. 870 is not a CityLink either! They'd keep those 34* for future routes from Morley if they were to use them at all.

I dont know for sure if it will happen but as I said it is definatley a possibility. I still think a 366 would be the best route number.
