Proposed Transperth bus changes in the Northern Suburbs

Transperth is inviting the public to comment on proposed changes to bus routes serving the following areas:

Services are proposed to change as follows:
Wanneroo Road Services

■ Wanneroo Rd services will be provided by routes 374, 386 (former 373), 387, 388 and 389 (former 346). Route 374 (operating via Fitzgerald St / Walcott St) will remain with minor time changes.
■ Wanneroo Rd services will operate more consistently with peak frequencies operating for longer periods in both morning and afternoon peaks.
■ Improved off-peak weekday services with a bus along Wanneroo Rd (as far as Amelia St) every 10 minutes all day provided by a combination of routes 374, 386, 387, 388 and 389.
■ Improved peak services from Perth with a bus operating along Wanneroo Rd, as far as Amelia St, every 15 minutes until 9.30pm.
■ Improved Saturday services with a 15 minute service operating during the day provided by a combination of routes 386, 388 and 389.
■ Improved Sunday services with a 30 minute service provided by a combination of routes 386 and 389.

To provide service information clearly the following new timetables are proposed:

Northern 57 – Routes 374, 386, 387, 388 and 389 (Perth to Wanneroo Rd/Amelia St).
Northern 81 – Routes 387, 388 and 449 (Warwick Station services).
Northern 82 – Routes 374, 386 and 389. (Marangaroo Services/Wanneroo)

Route 346 – Wanneroo to Wellington St Bus Station (Renumbered)

■ Route 346 will be renumbered to display Route 389.
■ Route 389 will operate a new timetable throughout the week with additional services on Sundays. Service frequency will improve from every two hours to every 60 minutes.

Route 347 – Warwick Station to Wellington St Bus Station (Withdrawn)

■ Route 347 will be withdrawn and replaced by Route 449 and New Routes 388 and 387.

Route 363 – Kingsway City Shopping Centre to Wellington St Bus Station (Withdrawn)

■ Route 363 will be withdrawn and replaced by additional services on Route 373 (which will be renumbered to display 386) and additional services on Route 365.

Route 373 – Kingsway City Shopping Centre to Wellington St Bus Station (Renumbered)

■ Route 373 will be renumbered to display 386.
■ Route 386 will operate a new timetable throughout the week with additional services on Sundays. Service frequency will improve from every two hours to every 60 minutes.
■ Selected peak period services will operate Limited Stops between Wanneroo Rd / Amelia Street and Perth.

Route 374 – Kingsway City Shopping Centre to Wellington St Bus Station

■ Route 374 will undergo minor time changes.

Route 387 – Warwick Station to Wellington St Bus Station (New service)

■ New Route 387 will operate Monday to Friday between Warwick Station and the Wellington St Bus Station via Balcatta Rd, Wanneroo Rd and Charles St.
■ Route 387 will operate every 15 minutes in peak, and every 60 minutes in off peak. The peak flow direction for this route will be FROM Perth in the Morning and TO Perth in the afternoon. Access from Warwick Station to Balcatta will be available via existing route 427 and New Route 428 (see Stirling Station services below).
■ Route 387 will provide a new service along Balcatta Rd, linking communities along portions of Wanneroo Rd and Charles St with the Balcatta industrial area.
■ New Route 387 will appear on the Northern 57 timetable.

Route 388 – Warwick Station to Wellington St Bus Station (New service)

■ New Route 388 will operate Monday to Saturday between Warwick Station and the Wellington St Bus Station via Beach Rd, Wanneroo Rd and Charles St.
■ Route 388 will operate every 10-15 minutes in peak, every 30 minutes off peak and every 30 minutes on Saturdays.
■ This service will provide a new direct connection between Wanneroo Rd and Warwick Station.

Stirling Station Services:

Route 413 – Stirling Station to Glendalough Station via Osborne Park

■ Route 413 will undergo minor time changes.

Route 414 – Stirling Station to Glendalough Station via Balcatta

■ Route 414 will undergo minor time changes throughout the week.

Route 423 – Stirling Station to Warwick Station via Karrinyup Bus Station and Hillarys Boat Harbour

■ Route 423 will undergo major time changes throughout the week.
■ There will be a small number of additional weekday day time services including additional evening peak services from Warwick Station to Stirling Station. Services will increase from 68 to 71 trips.
■There will be additional Saturday day time services with frequency upgraded to every 30 minutes. Services will increase from 35 trips to 53 trips.
■ There will be additional Sunday day time services with frequency upgraded to every 60 minutes. Services will increase from 9 trips to 25 trips.

Route 425 – Stirling Station to Warwick Station via Karrinyup Bus Station and Carine

■Route 424 will undergo major time changes throughout the week.
■There will be a small number of additional weekday services, increasing from 43 to 55 trips, including additional evening services which will replace the withdrawn 435 service. Selected afterhours 425 services will now deviate at night to Charles Riley Rd.
■There will be a small number of additional Saturday services, increasing from 24 to 30 trips, including additional evening services which will replace most trips on the withdrawn 435 service. Selected 425 services will now deviate at night to Charles Riley Rd.
■There will be a new Sunday service with frequency increased compared to the withdrawn 435 service to every 60 minutes. Services will increase from 7 trips to 24 trips. Sunday services will deviate to Charles Riley Rd.

Route 427 – Stirling Station to Warwick Station via Balcatta

■ Route 427 will undergo minor time changes with small number of additional trips.
■ The service will undergo minor timetable changes.
■ There will be a small number of additional weekday services. Services will increase from 34 to 36 trips.
■ Passengers travelling between Warwick Station and the Balcatta industrial and commercial area should also be aware of New Route 428 (see below) and New Route 387 (see Wanneroo Rd services above).

Route 428 – Stirling Station to Warwick Station via Balcatta (New service)

■ New Route 428 will operate Monday to Sunday between Stirling Station and Warwick Station via Balcatta.

■ Route 428 will Operate every 15 minutes in peak, every 60 minutes off peak and every 60 minutes on weekends. Selected evening and Sunday services will only operate between Stirling Station and Balcatta

■ This service will provide residents along Jones St and in Roselea Estate with a more convenient public transport service and provides, together with new route 387, improved access into the Balcatta industrial and commercial area.

New Route 428 will appear on the Northern 62 timetable.

Route 435 – Stirling Station to Warwick Station via Karrinyup Bus Station and Carine (Withdrawn)

■ Route 435 will be withdrawn and replaced by additional services on Route 425.
■ Selected after hours and weekend 425 trips will deviate to Charles Riley Rd to compensate for the withdrawal of Route 435.

No changes are proposed to routes 401, 402, 421, 424 or 426 as a part of this review.

Route 441 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Seacrest Dr

Route 443 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Giles Av

Route 443 will undergo major time changes throughout the week.
There will be a small number of additional weekday services including evening services replacing the withdrawn 452 service.
There will be a new Saturday service replacing the withdrawn 452 service.
There will be a new Sunday service replacing the withdrawn 452 service.

Route 444 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Gibson Av

Route 444 will undergo major time changes throughout the week.
There will be a small number of additional weekday services.

Route 445 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Coolibah Av

Route 445 will operate an additional weekday trip from Warwick Station to Whitfords Station during morning peak.
Route 445 will operate additional weekday evening services replacing the withdrawn 455 service.
Route 445 will operate a new hourly service on Saturday and Sunday replacing the withdrawn 455 service.

Route 446 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Allenswood Rd

Route 446 will operate an additional weekday trip from Warwick Station to Whitfords Station at the beginning of morning peak.
Route 446 will operate additional weekday evening services replacing the withdrawn 455 service.
Route 446 will operate a new hourly service on Saturday and Sunday replacing the withdrawn 455 service.

Route 447 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Moolanda Bvd

Route 447 will operate additional weekday evening services replacing the withdrawn Route 457 service.
Route 447 will operate a new hourly service on Saturday and Sunday replacing the withdrawn 457 service.

Route 449 – Warwick Station to Warwick Grove via Eglington Cr

Route 449 will operate additional weekday services supplementing new Route 387 (see Wanneroo Rd services).
Route 449 will operate a new hourly service on Saturday and Sunday replacing a number of withdrawn 457 services.
Late evening services are proposed to be rationalised due to extremely poor patronage.

Route 452 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Marmion Av (Withdrawn)

Route 452 will be withdrawn and replaced with evening and weekend services on routes 441, 442, 443 and 444.

Route 455 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Blackall Dr (Withdrawn)

Route 455 will be withdrawn and replaced with evening and weekend services on routes 445 and 446.

Route 457 – Warwick Station to Whitfords Station via Moolanda Bvd (Withdrawn)

Route 457 will be withdrawn and replaced with evening and weekend services on routes 447 and 449.

Route 344 will undergo changes – please refer to Ballajura, Alexander Heights and Alexander Dr Services below.

■ Route 365 will operate a new Sunday services replacing the withdrawn Route 363.

Route 370 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Wellington St Bus Station via Nollamara Av

■ Route 370 will undergo time changes on Saturdays.
■ Route 370 will operate a new Sunday services coordinated with the 354 service.

Route 372 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Marangaroo via Highclere Bvd

■ Route 372 will undergo major time changes.
■ Route 372 will operate an additional Weekday day time services with off peak frequency upgraded to every 30 minutes.

Route 375 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Marangaroo via Princess Rd

■ Route 375 will undergo major time changes.
■ Service frequency is proposed to be rationalised in line with patronage performance.

Route 376 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Landsdale via Mirrabooka Av

■ Route 376 will undergo major time changes.
■ Route 376 will operate additional Weekday day time services with off peak frequency upgraded to every 30 minutes.

Route 377 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Alexander Heights via Koondoola Av

■ Route 377 will undergo major time changes.
■ Route 377 will operate additional Weekday day time services with off peak frequency upgraded to every 30 minutes.

Route 378 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Alexander Heights via Alexander Dr

■ Route 378 will undergo major time changes.

Route 379 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Alexander Heights via Beach Rd

Route 870 – Mirrabooka Bus Station to Wellington St Bus Station (Major time changes, frequency upgrade on Weekdays)

■ There will be improvements to Route 370 on weekends may benefit passengers wishing to access services on Nollamara Av.

No changes are proposed to Route 371.
