HCVA Central Coast Tour - 16th July 2011

Postby HCVA » Mon Jul 04, 2011 11:03 pm

Again the HCVA will be heading up to the Central Coast on Saturday 16th July 2011

We will complete some unfinished business and first visit Coastal Liner at Warnervale and sample their fleet, after lunch we will head to Busways Wyong and sample the local fleet operating from that depot.

Pick up will be at Central Stand 6 Eddy Ave for an 8am departure. A Warrigal Charters have kindly supplied a vehicle to transfer attendees up to the coast.
Also we will pick up anyone who wish to join us at Wyong at 9:30am

A pick up on the Central Coast will be provided if requested in this thread by the 14th

Costs
$20 members
$30 non members

**For those who attended the May tour, members will ride for free, non member cost will be $10**

The HCVA wishes to thank the staff and management at Coastal Liner and Busways Wyong for allowing this tour to happen and also to Warrigal Charters for supplying the vehicle to get us up there.

I wonder if the Warrigal Charters bus supplied will be TV 3857 or TV 4797 the Scania K93CR's that were ex Brisbane Water Coaches at one stage?

How about neither of them, a coach is being used not a bus.

One would think so.

This would be a straightforward assumption for a tour veteran Deano but not so much a newcomer who is relying on posted information only.

HCVA Central Coast Tour - 16th July 2011

Postby paulbrown3 » Sat Jul 16, 2011 6:23 pm

A wonderful day out. Thanks to the organisers. Exciting trips in all buses. The police (not the band) also was on our side, pity the p-plater expensive day out for him.

I'd like to thank George at Coastal Liner for the welcome he gave us and the hospitality he showed us with the tea, coffee and cake layed on in the shed for all of us. I'd also like to thank the management at Busways and of course thanks to the guys (they know who they are) for driving. It was a great day
