And guess what??? No Timetables... Management were not even aware of the changes.![]()

Picked up at Reservoir yesterday :

Where do you go at Reservoir Bus Company to pick up timetables? I squibbed at the no trespassers sign!
I picked up my copy of the new 561 timetable off a bus at the station but have been to their office several times to pick up timetables. I don't think the trespassing sign applies to someone going to their office for a legitimate reason, and I have always found the lady at the front desk to be very helpful.

Weekday buses are given excessive time to travel about 1km from Pentridge estate timepoint to Coburg - one evening trip has as much as 26 minutes, when it can done within 5 minutes, even with some peak-hour traffic on Sydney Rd! For some reason they've used the departure times back to Macleod as the arrival times, rather than give accurate times for someone who may wish to change to another service.![]()

This allows for late running.

This has been discussed before - in the late 80s/early 90s The Met used to produce timetable booklets for a region that showed all services, regardless of operator.
There is no reason that Metlink could not incorporate the 479 & 500 into the Sunbury booklet, with appropriate references that Tullamarine operate the 479 & 500.
At least the Craigieburn booklet now includes 544, something that should have been done previously.
Kind Regards
Craig
krustyklo wrote:They tended to be released around 1992. There were some significant changes to timetable formats in that year with the area booklets, glossy booklets provided for some single routes and new rail timetables with a lot of information provided about connecting bus and tram services including maps, as well as a new style of presentation of timetables with fold out flaps showing what information was on that page. Very well done, shame it only lasted the year. The last ones I saw were the Doncaster / Templestowe series in December 1992, some other timetables from this time previously in a booklet were released in the standard gold and teal format (eg 254).
krustyklo wrote:However, even post The Met, at least one operator has produced all of the timetables for an area in the one booklet. Invicta produced this booklet: https://sites.google.com/site/melbbustt679/23-july-2001-timetable in 2001, and for some time after (and possibly before) which also included quite a few other local routes in the Croydon area, so it doesn't necessarily follow that you need a centralised organisation to take the lead, although it helps.

All are effective 8 May 2011 v.1 (Apr 11)
The new timetables for routes 453 & 455 & others that are being updated for train times only have been delayed in printing & are not expected for approx. 2 weeks.
