This might be something I've not noticed but when going to the "View your posts" link, I can see what sections my post/s are in, but can't see what I'm supposed to click to actually view what I posted?
If I click the topic heading, it goes to the first post of that topic - not useful when the topic's 40-odd pages long.
Essentially from that page (http://www.busaustralia.com/forum/searc ... =egosearch), what would I be clicking to go to any of the posts I've made (and how does it handle multiple posts in the same thread/topic)?
Advice on what I'm not doing right, or is something amiss?

It is not a feature I use - probably for the very reason you mention.
It is a feature of the board software that (unfortunately) works that way.

If you want to see just your posts, you can go to the MEMBERS section, click on your username and select "search user's posts" from the statistics column.

Why not just go to the search, search via username, and choose display results as posts? But I thought using View your posts showed all your posts, not just the topic subjects.

GENERALLY, if you wait after you post, it will take you to your post.
HOWEVER if you wish to see the "unread" posts in a thread, then its the little image that looks like this:
That GIF is a hyperlink to the latest post.

That has absolutely nothing to do your own posts.
This icon will take to the first unread post in that the thread concerned and not the latest. The icon wil not show if the only unread post is your own.

Re: Own posts - going to from "view your posts" function
"View your posts" does give you the opportunity to quickly check if any threads you have an interest in have been updated, rather than trawling through all the new posts.
Even "view new posts" only brings up threads, not individual posts.
