Northern NSW Fleet Changes 2011

Postby Set Down Only » Mon Jan 31, 2011 3:05 pm

This thread is for fleet changes in the Murwillumbah area.

To start, North Tumbulgum Bus Service has been bought by Gosel's Bus Service, along with the Custom Coaches CB30/Kia New Cosmos.

Singh's 23 is now a Murwillumbah Bus Company bus, unsure if fleet number has changed.

Murwillumbah Bus Company 43 is listed for sale in ABC Magazine.

Parson's ex-13 is also for sale in ABC, and 14 is for sale here at http://www.usedbussales.com.au/school-b ... -pass.html

Ex Singh's 23 is now MBC #46.
Parso's 14 has already been sold to a company in SA and MBC 43 is no longer used at all.
Singh's has bought the unique B12M from Brims.

Thanks mate, and good photo's too I see in the NSW section.

Do you know when exactly Gosel's took over North Tumbulgum? I suspect maybe the start of the school term, or there abouts.

Ah nah that's just about it, I visited back in September and gleaned a fair bit of info.

Do you know where J & B keep their buses - the Murwillumbah variety. I found the MBS at Cornwell's just before Murwillumbah but they apparently keep them at 1 Norths Lane, Stokers Siding, but we went past there and didn't see anything!

If you know where they keep them, and what 3053 MO is, it would be appreciated. Partial list here: http://www.busaustralia.com/fleetlists/ ... search=JAB

J&B's depot is in Chinderah, near Kingscliff. I do not have an exact address.

I changed the thread name to Northern NSW changes, no use making a new one for another company.

First change is Blanch's 'BVC' 45 Hino RB8 has been listed for sale by Dick White: http://www.busandmotorhome.com/vehicles ... ail&id=114
Also for sale there is Transit Scenic Tours - Greenacre's TV 3637 and Bowen Transit 041 KKO, both still on fleet lists.

Any chance you could change the Brunswick Valley livered units from BRU to BVC?

The fleet is slowly being repainted into Blanch's style livery with B.V.C lettering

I cant remember the name of the street offhand but J&Bs depot is in the industrial estate at Chinderah - longish street with a rather good takeaway towards the north end - the depot itself is about half way along in a yard adjacent to a largish warehouse type building which includes a brothel (should one become overly excited by the J&B fleet  ). Tends to be no one there other than in/ out times unless they are working on one - the depot that is. I expect that at the brothel its in/out times all the time  .

It would appear a Leyland tiger(?) of Brunswick Valley is for sale through that site as well

Thanks :) Bizarre that they would opt for high-capacity, but specify a second door. Interesting!

Nick is in fact correct. If you run the VIN through www.checkitout.com.au with an S it comes up invalid, whereas with a 6 it works.

I've come accross a few inaccurately stamped body plates over the years - this is a good reminder that it's always important to cross reference gen with available resources such as checkitout.

Denning chassis' always start with a 6 ;).

I've seen an RK8J with VIN prefixes "JHDRN8JSKXXX" on compliance and body plates, yet "JHDRK8JSKXXX" on the rego, which is correct. So go figure how they got RK8J and not what was on the compliances!
