it has come to light that one poster continuously posts unpalatable posts that are considered offensive and abusive and one moderator says nothing wrong was done and so can continue to do so without punishment
what that moderator didnt know is that there are lifelong obsessive compulsive and a development disorders that can cause aggressive or harmful behavior (already aggravated more than enough by the harsh life in sydney making it a very brittle and delicate balance) that got to live with and thats hard to manage
to avoid aggravating it further is there a function to hide a users posts to avoid exposure to offensive content in the same way as facebooks or myspace block user or hide chosen users posts function and only show the post after choosing to do so ??????
the posts would still be there for everybody else to see but one user can block all posts from chosen users from appearing on their rendition of the page
it would be a lot easier and and completely foolproof than manipulating by hand a piece of cardboard around the screen while scrolling down to physically block content considered abusive on the pages of many topics visited to clear it before reading as done today
if that function isnt available now would it be added in a future update ?????
block or hide a users posts function ????

I believe that if you define a user as a foe, the posts from that user will not be shown.
I have not tried it but give it a go and see what happens.

Re: block or hide a users posts function ????
done...
but did it work ??????
its hard to tell if it didnt show the position of flagged posters posts with a "post contents hidden" message instead of what was written but instead completely removes the post like it was never there

Try it and without the foe on the exact same topic to see if it worked.

Re: block or hide a users posts function ????
Just keep in mind that this function, while useful, can cause threads to stop making a lot of sense because the post of one or numerous board members won't be shown.
Re: block or hide a users posts function ????
The other problem with blocking someone is that you still see some of their posts whenever someone quotes them.

The funny thing is that the problem you mentioned actually makes the problem I mentioned better. After all, if people quote the hidden user's posts then threads will make sense again!
