Where's the edit button gone

Post by Wilbur »

I was trying to put some of my pics back that were lost when the server crashed but the edit button seems to be hiding

It depends on the forum settings as to when it appears.
Best way to replace them would be a new thread and post in the old one with a link to the new one

"Edit" button gone missing

Post by Looselion »

Have any other forum members found that the "edit" function on their posts has disappeared?
I have asked admin about this situation which occurred last week and continues, but still no way I can go edit anything.............

So far we have not been able to reproduce this situation - Perhaps you could provide some additional information such as whether it happens in both Prosilver and subsilver 2 or only one of those.

My edit button was showing when I did my last post in the lunch room. But is no longer there now.

Has a limit been set in the acp. ?

Sounds like it... Perhaps by accidently or intentional, one of the Admin has adjusted the time in which you can edit a post in the ACP?

It is set at 5000 minutes which is 83 and a third hours which is just under three and a half days. This would explain why it is not possible to edit old posts but it does not explian the situation if it is not possible to edit very new posts.

I dont know how long it has been set at that but I will see if I can find out.

But for around 3 weeks I was able to edit this post (http://www.busaustralia.com/forum/viewt ... 16&t=56480), but from the 5th the ability to edit disappeared.

I have changed a setting for editing posts. Please let us know if you can now edit older posts including those old ones where photos had to be put back.
