[Adel] Oakbank 2007 - Private Operators

Postby 2MSJ » Tue Apr 10, 2007 12:49 am

Hi All,

As well as the usual route buses, Oakbank also see's private charter operators moving groups up to the track. Although small in number compared to Southlink and TransitPlus movements, there is still an interesting variety.

Premier Stateliner 256 Scania K124EB with a Volgren C222TX Body heads into the Private Buses area:

Great selection of photos DAG! Always like seeing photos of buses outside of their normal zone of operation.

BTW, the ex-London bus is Leyland Olympian L68.

The ex-Sydney Atlantean is one that has escaped identification - I don't suppose you found any evidence of its former identity?

Love that Olympian, looks like it's in a quiet English country lane with that backdrop too. Well done Eddy!

Magor's #38 (RK197K) was the bus I used to catch when I went to Mount Barker high, it used to do the Kuitpo bus run before they canned it. The Austral Tourmaster is one of the best they have despite its age too. The 2 Newnham-built buses (Scania and Hino) are also 2 more of the best they have- used to love riding them when they used them for the extra-hot days on school runs. Might have to save up for when they get rid of them lol
