Lol the exchange is just like an airport!!!

Also I like the rear sliding door on that Jap import. I wonder if it was in use and whether or not it sliced anyone in half?? I rekon they are pretty dangerous.

Those SL202's do 2 trips on the Orbiter on the assist trips during the school peaks both ways both morning and afternoon. Those trips are easy to find on the Metroinfo Website, as they run at the same time as another trip the entire way around.

I noticed 57 out on the Orbiter tonight so will see if its out there tommrow now that schools are almost finished for the year. There was one of the timaru optares working on the orbiter on friday I didnt see which one it was it shot past me before I could get a look. Also today Go Bus have of the buses they sent down to CBS last month with fleet numbers and they are in service with the all the Go Bus signage showing. 34 (157) , 50 (141) and 434 (152) now the numbers in brackets are the vehicles that these buses are replacing out of the CBS fleet 141 was an optare , 152 was a Zhong Tong ex Timaru and 157 was the dennis dart ex wright so I'm wondering what will happen to these buses. Will have to get the camera out again and see what turns up

Noticed in town today Go Bus coach 24. that didnt take long for Go Bus to send coaches south. Also told today that the Go Bus MAN SL202s 31 , 32 are both still here Ive not seen them for a couple of weeks but shall go for a look in the next couple of days. 32 has a school run in chch its being used on something in Lyttelton. Unsure if it has a fleet number assigned to it from the CBS fleet nos or not all will be known soon.

You have to remember that ex CTB 670 never turned a wheel in Christchurch with the CTB or Redbus.

the other bayline volvo that Leopard have got is numbered 243 not 245. 245 is the start of the Ritchies Optares and that one is Ritchies 635

There is only the one and thats 156 it was a result of a smash that 156 had on Travis Road about three months ago.

The Nissans were pretty funky also, though they didn't make it onto the St Clair/Normanby run very often so my memories of riding them are limited - it was mainly Panthers with a few Leopards (often after brake changes due to the fairly flat run) in between.
The only one possibly not a motor home now is 148 which is still untraced after being sold on "for further use" by Party Bus, Auckland by August 2006. Yes, I have photos of most of them, but mostly with their subsequent owners - sadly I never made it to Dunedin in time to see them in service there. If you are interested in seeing my pics, biqua, PM me.

one more photo from me there are more to come

Yesterday I got a pleasant surprize to find Leopard 19 working on the 18 route in peak time. This was the only Leopard SL202 I hadnt had a ride on as I thought it wouldnt see service in Christchurch but how wrong was I. The only MAN SL202 that isnt in service on urban work is Leopard 18 as it only has one door.

Anyway 19 was only subbing on the 18 route as the SLF that was on this trip broke down.

the orange painted wheels are something unique to Leopard's Mega Mover operation. Its quite refreshing to see all the MAN SL202s out on the road now if we can just do a day or two in Christchurch where by both Redbus and Leopard have all their SL202s on the road. Might as well get Go Bus to join the party as well since they have a couple of SL202s based here now.

By the way the CBS bus that was painted into Go Bus livery is 112 and its in the school and coach livery not the Go bus Hamilton Urban Green that Hamilton use that would have caused to many issues for Christchurch Passengers and confused people with The Orbiters

CBS painted 147 at the same time as the ex Timaru Zhong Tong's were done. 147 was the only Northern Star tag to be painted into normal CBS livery the other one 148 is still out there in Northern Star livery.
