Greetings all,
There's also this R class out somewhere near Picton: http://thumb4.webshots.net/s/thumb4/7/2 ... DPu_th.jpg.

What is its number :?:. Is 1948 still sitting in the Southern Highlands :?:.

Regards,
Ben

Gents,

I've followed these threads with interest. I'm looking for further details on R1 2005 at Leeton. I live in Junee, about an hour and a half away from Leeton, and I'd be interested in finding out what condition this tram is currently in. Dave Wilson has noted that it still exists, but I'm wondering whether there is any further info from anyone here.

If the body still exists, I'd be interested in seeing if it available for recovery to Junee.

Cheers,
Matt

Note that 2005 was in pretty poor shape when I saw it in 1978. 1993 was also in Leeton and is now rotting in Rozelle Depot.

There are a couple of videos of the inside of rozelle depot on youtube under the heading urban exploration. Apparently a way to get in for a while but now it has been sealed off (or an exploit as the building 'hackers' call it) anyway, there are about 8 or so trams in the depot but all are heavily grafffitied and I dont know if anything has been pinched off of them. But one of the rarer ones is apparently in the pipeline for restoration. You probably know more than me, but I am just going off of what I read.
As for me, give me liberty, or give me death!
