Rockingham and Mandurah area changes

Post by Q4004 »

From TP website:
Effective: Sunday 14 November 2010
From Sunday 14 November 2010, there will be timetable changes to selected routes and a limited number of services will no longer operate with an accessible bus.

These changes will affect selected route 540, 542, 543, 557, 558, 559, 561, 562, 564, 588, 589, 597, 598, 825 and 920 services operating in Mandurah and Rockingham.

Please refer to an updated timetable to see how your journey may be affected.

Alternatively, updated timetables will be available from your bus driver, major bus and train stations, and any Transperth InfoCentre from Tuesday 9 November 2010.

For more information regarding these service changes, call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 (TTY: 9428 1999, TIS: 13 14 50).
Wonder why this is happening??

It doesn't say anything about running times. All it says is that some services that are currently meant to be served by a Low Floor Bus will not neccessarily be served by one on selected trips.

Perhaps its to do with a shortage of buses? Or due to the fact that limitations of high floors at the SCT depots means that they can't be used efficiently when required because a particular route needs a low floor. However please correct my errors. That's just what I think which in my perspective, sounds good!

Rockingham and Mandurah area changes

Does this mean that Rockingham Depot has lost some CNG buses? As when I last had a look (July 2010), Rocky depot was full of CNG buses & as such just about every run was a low floor with occasional peak runs taken over by the artics.

I don't think its too much about that. Perhaps some swap of buses with some high floors going to Rockingham or Fremantle due to low floors being required elsewhere? Who knows?

Expect to see a better update of photos than ever before from me on Herberts website (whenever he has the time to do it). It will still include what i have been sending lately but it will have more renault photos. Whilst im here, im gonna make the most of high floors espeacially the 0305's at Mandurah.

I most probably wont stop shooting buses gents as that comes second nature to me now and I cant think of anything better to do (apart from graphing trains!)

I just have to get a shot of 483 & 726 before they disappear!

When I had a look the Southern 132(586/587/588/589/590) I thought it was a mistake!!!

The 16:31 589F is suppose to be a non-accessible service right now but still seeing low floor being used since last the timetable update.
I'm guessing 1031 or 1082 will be used for the 20:55 589F????
The 7:27 589T have been a high floor service but not noted on timetable???

Nope. Still the same fleet.

Still the same since the 590 was introduced in 2008.....I was hoping for extra Saturday & Sunday night service for the 588/589....or a 590 extension up to Silver Sands
