Postby coldo121 » Mon Aug 03, 2009 2:06 am

Hi,

Does anyone know where i could find a copy of Hanover Displays, Helen Sign Editor Program. I have tried contacting Hanover themselves though they haven responded. If anyone has a copy or access to one, or knows any websites where it can be downloaded, please drop me a Privat Message.

Thanks!

The program Helen210.exe is a Java editor, AEC Decker thought the Hanover desto used a Java based program to program the destos.
As well as PCs a lot of electronic devices use Java programming language software these days.

Hanover uses a stand alone program called HELEN to program. It is much more flexible and user friendly than Mobitecs are, and also than the old version of Southport.

They don't just make destos, most hopper windows, among many other components in Volgrens, are made by Southport. Other body builders use them as well. They don't just do buses either, they make non-transport related things as well.

If you have a sign they should have no problem supplying it I imagine, try calling them.

There is a listing in the white pages for them.

I am also chasing this software now. We have a hanover display fitted in the bus I am now driving, the only one in the fleet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone ever used this software? How the hell do you get the data from the computer to the controller? ...I have an RS 232 cable with seemingly the correct ends on it but how do you make the software talk to it? Very frustrating!

You need a Keylo (which is a flash drive with a serial connector) and a Keylo Base Station (to put the files on the Keylo) to upload the files to the controller, you can't just use a serial cable, these would only be available from Hanover themselves.
