R Class, it's a good idea to have pictures of items you want to sell on eBay.

So why not take pictures before you post them & then post the pictures along with the description on eBay so buyers can see what they are interested in?

Personally I don't think eBay (& similar sites) should allow sellers to sell items without photos.

Agree, don't like your chances charging that price for second hand locomotives, especially when similar locomotives are only $265 - brand new.

RClass, according to your feedback, you have been on eBay for around four or so years, so why aren't you prepared to show pictures of items you're selling?

Who'd know, as he doesn't seem to want them photographed. At RClasstramcar, how hard could it be to post photos on eBay? You advertised your items on here, so why not post photos of items in this thread? (not you should post pictures on eBay page in the first place).

And it seems he has dropped the price down to $100.

At RClasstramcar, you can't advertise two different prices for the same item(s). It misleads potential buyers especially if they see both prices. You say "No Returns", which for a private sale, or auction is your choice, but what if say a person brought the item via this thread for $300, and then after they have paid for it, found the exact same item on your eBay page was advertised for $200 cheaper? If a person brought the same item on here for example, at the dearer price, that person who brought it for $300 on here would have every right for the difference of $200 to be refunded.

MarkV, agree entirely buyer BEWARE (especially when RClasstramcar uses such a lame excuse of why he doesn't show pictures.) Not only that, but he deletes his eBay link to his eBay page. Why, if he is still has those items for sale on eBay?

Their are only two reasons I can think of for him not showing pictures on eBay of items he is selling. One is that the items are worse than described, or that the seller doesn't really have the items (And NO, I'm not saying that he doesn't them). And as I stated earlier, eBay should NOT allow items without any pictures, & shouldn't allow pictures that are not of the item itself.

Mark V & RClasstram: Just how hard is it to upload to Ebay?

Post by Newcastle Flyer »

At Mark V, just how hard is it to upload photos to eBay? Is it basically the same as most other sites, such as Flickr, Fotopic, Photobucket, etc?

And to those that may have brought RClasstramcar's items via ATDB, and then found that the exact same item has been advertised elsewhere by RClasstramcar at a cheaper price(1), then I would advise that they contact him and ask for the difference in price to be credited/refunded.

Edit: (1) Just to make myself clear, when I say the exact same item, I mean the exact same item at different prices, not if he has two or more of the same item at different prices.

Ebay is even easier then on here, all you have to do is upload it to your computer from your camera then Ebay will give you the option to upload the picture from your computer.. 20 secs later its done.. easy as even for someone who has never sold on Ebay before.

Okay thanks Mark V, so in other words, just uploading pictures in the usual manner. RClasstram's last visit was at 9pm or so last night, so it seems he doesn't want to explain to potential buyers that buy via this site, why he has/had two different prices on the same item.

I believe pics are now on Ebay, all need a bit of work to bring the old girls up to scratch, would be nice if the seller could tell me honoustly here how each of them runs?

At the moment im keen for the red terror.. but will make a decision closer to the auction ending.

So that wasn't hard was it to post photos was it? Now I WAS (note was) going to say comment about the paintwork on two of those locomotives, but I have changed that to "While it may not be a perfect paint job on two of your locomotives, at least you had a go at it painting them yourself."

To Rherkes. The $65 post charge was a typo I made. I edited it and re sent the invoice. The buyer didn't want go on.
Newcastle Flyer: Please read the description's first line again. Images will be posted today when I get back from town. On the post cost difference. The present one is from when I was doing auctions of one item only. Lately, this has switched to more. So of course the postage will change too. I will edit this tonight (if I can find it).
Also, the item you linked was not sent due to a mistake on my behalf. I have refunded the buyer, so all's well that ends well. Also I checked, and there are three items which have the "Pics 2 come" up the top.

Wonder why RClass didn't upload pictures of the last few?
As I stated in this thread before, I don't believe eBay or any auction site should accept items without photographs.

I am confused as to why on a previous feedback a buyer has stated that they were charged $65 postage for three ebay lots, two BDX's, three OCX's and two S wagons, when each of these listings advertised postage as $4.55. If that happened to me I would request the total again and if the seller insists on $65 I would report them to Ebay.

Also what is it with your latest listings stating $4.55 and then in the listing stating postage will be $15? You should state in the postage section that the postage will be $15, then in the description state that you are unsure of the cost to post but it will be no more than $15. In the past some of the sellers have given me partial refunds because they have charged more for postage. I never ask them, for it as I shop with the postal charge in mind. On one occasion I have had a seller charge more for postage after the auction, so I paid what was listed at auction. I don't think you can do this now, but the buyer was once able to edit the shipping charges, or erase them altogether.

I looked at all those items without pictures last night, and yes I looked at the description. I could only find one item that states that pictures are to come.

While errors do happen, for something involving money changing hands, then it is important that the prices are not only double checked, but tripple checked.

http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAP ... terval=365 :?:

Edit: On bidding has ended item
II'm sure I saw the postage cost in the postage section, along with the $10 postage you mention in the description. Yet now all it says is "see details" in the postage section, on an item that has bidding has ended. :?

Edit: In some of the descriptions, the postage shown is either $10 - 15 not $4 as stated, or $5 - 10, yet for both of these the postage still states $4.55.
