3521 Being a AEC Reliance and built with a lightweight body it would of been pretty nimble on the road the other prototype 3520 the Leyland Leopard I do remember back in the early 70s when I was young with my aunty catching 3520 from Gladesville to Drummoyne to catch the bus across to Campsie via Burwood which was a Leyland Royal tiger or Worldmaster.

Great shots of a great bus leopard1543. That shot in the New Claridge 25's scheme reminds me of a Nevilles bus in the 70's that had the same AOA.
It was used on our school bus once and everyones mum and dad complained about it. The rear was white with red and black wavy strips to look like the lit end of a cigarette. The front was the filter. Funny it was the only time I was in a cigarette
A reformed MAN bus driver
now driving a Volvo B7R SB 400 make that a SBV.

Why was it retired in 1990?This is about the same time Parramatta Ryde Bus Service stopped using their Reliances for front line work.
Theirs carried alot of all over advertising in their time too.
NSW, the state that embraces mediocrity.
