Mk2 Leopard 20th Anniversary Tour SUNDAY 25TH OCTOBER 2009

I have organised a Bus Tour for SUNDAY 25TH OCTOBER 2009 to mark the 20th Anniversary since the withdrawal of the mk2 Leopards out of Government Service.

The Tour will start at 9.00am at Railway Squaire Central Railway George Street at Stand C
The Tour will Finish at 6.00pm at Railway Squaire Central Railway George Street at Stand C

We will be using around 2 or 3 leopards on the tour but depends on how many people turn up on the day and will be a great chance to get photos of the leopards in some of the areas that they use to operate in government service

The Tour Costs
HCVA Members $15.00
NON HCVA Members $20.00

The Tour will be covering the Areas around Balmain Wharf then out to the inner west Ryde areas and also Huntleys Point were the old 510 use to go to then we will go out to the city then going out to parts of the eastern Suburbs were the leopards last operated in government service then out to Botany Bay & other parts of the eastern Suburbs also Bondi Junction then returning to the city by 6.00pm

Why do people persist in writing reasons they are not going on a tour, who cares, there is no need to say anything.

And David if you intend to involve the HCVA then i think you should write to the board before stating fares etc.

The HCVA is not involved now because mk2 leopard 1765 has mehanical problems and wont make the tour. And Neard Bus i suggest you keep your words to yourself if your not interested in this tour dont bother turnning up on the day.

yes iam aware that 1765 is the SB&TM i just thought the HCVA only gets involved if museum vehicles attend the tours.

Leopards did operate on that particular route, in fact AEC Decker even operated said route, as well as many other Waverley routes, in Blue Leopards.

Any Randwick, Waverley or Pagewood routes would make AEC Decker happy.

If you are coming back from the western suburbs, you could operate via 319 from City Rd to Anzac Pde, A 333 or 360 along Moore Park Rd, a 388 via Edgecliff Rd to Curlewis St, a 390 from Gibson St, then head over via 358 to Daceyville Junction for a 336 or 337 to Pagewood Depot and Phillip Bay, then maybe a 399 back from Maroubra to Macquarie St. Perhaps even a 326 from Lawson St?

You can ride on a 380 anytime.

IIRC, Operated by 2 15xx Leopards, 1 bus was for the commuters and 1 bus was for the enthusiasts.
