We now have 562 being our oldest bus, followed by 857, 856, 524 and 581, all being over 25 years old.
wouldn't expect these to stay around too long.

confirmed 2 white hino's at tweed. ex sunbus

rego's

259 kzj hino rg197 with aircon
722 lcp hino rg230 i think.

both being fitted with wayfarers.

259 kzj was originaly at tweed about 1 year ago then went to toowoomba sunbus.

these 2 probably were not part of the sale of toowoomba sunbus.

any1 know of any others that may have ended up at ernest?

will keep a eye out for fleet numbers

There are numerous buses missing from the Garden City Sunbus list, and these two vehicles are an example of that! Any gen for these vehicles?

No it doesn't have to be. Next week it could be back at Tweed. The fact a bus moves around could be for any number of reasons - driver swaps, chucked on a run during a temporary visit to its non-home depot to have something fitted etc.

We have no fool-proof way of actually checking this sort of information other than seeing something more than once or getting confirmation from somebody in a position to know, so I think we should limit such sightings to where we can confirm something has been moved permanently.

Hence, why I haven't updated it.

Ernest based school buses 566 and 583 have been transferred to Tweed Depot for NSW school bus work.
Both were spotted doing school runs yesterday with Wayfarer ticket machines fitted.

Given that this is a (comparatively) new Ovlov low-floor, could it just be that this is at Bustech to have some work done (or that this is a typo  )?

Two of those buses are in AOA's, I have removed them, are you sure they are withdrawn?

Not to mention the fact these are GCTS vehicles. They dont seem to be buying any new coaches for GCTS so how can they withdraw so many MCAs?? And despite the fact they are pretty rundown the age of them is a lot newer in comparison to some of the other vehicles in the Surfside fleet. Is it maybe possible they are at bustech for a refurbishment?

I'd say the machinery period has lapsed, and they have to pull the plates off and send them back to QT. High chance they are at Bustech for a frame and will be put back on the road in due time.

Thanks SM247. I got my numbers mixed up. It is actually 864 the toyota coaster in airport link. Registration 826-FFE. As with the withdrawn shuttle buses at Bustech, they all have there number plates and ticket machines removed. As Hornibrook said 2 shuttle buses being current aoa's, this would mean that there will have to be replaced. 500 is still based at Tweed depot.

Could they be using 456-8 and 777-9 (the white coaches from Victoria) as the new GCTS units?
