Good pics....wish I could get to those viewing areas at the Airport.
The Jetstar Airbus advertising Seaworld, good how the shark blends in with the "lines" of the aircraft.

Jetstar
VH-QPP [A320] : Titans
VH-QPQ [A320] : Seaworld
Qantas Link
VH-QOH [Dash 8] : Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer???
Qantas
VH-VXB [737] : Aboriginal 'Yananyi Dreaming'
VH-OEJ [747] : Aboriginal 'Wunala Dreaming'
Virgin Blue
VH-VBY [737] : VB's 50th Aircraft
VH-VOI [737] (withdrawn) : Gillette
VH-VOJ [737] (withdrawn) : Head to Queensland

Well done, I had to settle for loitering around a railway station with a camera and notebook.
Re: Plane pics @ BNE
For those in Brisbane or potential visitors to Brisbane that aren't aware of where the airport lookout is, here is a google map image, with the red 'A' being the lookout. The lookout is open from 6am to 6pm daily! Free of charge, just locked at night. The downside is that there are no facilities there though like toilets or take-away shop.

Great pics mate, a well set-up and finely tuned camera with a good photographer.
If you see a Concorde sitting there, feel free to introduce yourself (why would I go to long-term parking when I can wait there??)
Stan.

Re: Plane pics @ BNE
Oh yeah, some food for thought; the 737's entire cabin is only about 30mm bigger than just the engine cowls on the 777!
And that's a great shot of the 777 too matey, again well done.

Re: Plane pics @ BNE
Jetstar VH-VQH A320 - Also has advertising - GO ROOS! decals fitted.
The Jestar shark aircraft has a Dolphin on the other side that looks a bit shabby now.........
Starting to peel off...
Has done a pretty good job thus far considering the conditions it encounters!!!, afterall its only a big sticker, with millions of holes in it similar to bus window decals but much smaller holes and lots more of them!!

Ah yes, I forgot about that one - I got this pic of her at SYD airport back in December 2008.skystar320 wrote:Jetstar VH-VQH A320 - Also has advertising - GO ROOS! decals fitted.

Re: Plane pics @ BNE
True that. Same flight, just repalced with a B763. Singapore also making cuts, all of their 3 return flights per day cut from a B772 to a A333 one less 777 i get to hear from home at nightkitkat271 wrote:Good job on catching the JAL 747 ... they'll be gone from Australian skies from next week.

And the really funny thing? Singapore replacing the 777 with an A330 was spun as good thing in the Adelaide Advertiser. The bozos obviously don't know their aircraft.888 wrote:True that. Well, I can't see how having a brand new aircraft with the brand new A380 style entertainment product ISN'T an improvement over a louder aircraft about 6 years old.\
Just to further prove my point, I decided to add images.
Boeing 777-212ER, Around 6 years old, Old economy, looking very drab.
Airbus A330-343E on its Inaugural Flight (CGK-SIN) Includes iPod connectivity.
I just wish we could all get along like we used to in Middle School, I wish that I could bake a cake made of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat it and be happy.
Re: Plane pics @ BNE
A shame the A330 photo displays the Premium economy cabin yet the 777 shows the cattle class VC special cabin.\
NOT A FAIR COMPARISON, even though i prefer the A330

Re: Plane pics @ BNE
The A330 shows economy, That image is from the back of the plane, Hence the seats going from 2-3-2 into 2-4-2
Seatmaps!

Re: Plane pics @ BNE
I've worked on the 330s and definitely way better plane to work in than the 777s; it's more user friendly in terms of the designs and space utilisation.
Nuggets.

Re: Plane pics @ BNE (dialup warning)
Problem is, the new SQ seats (or indeed most of the new economy seats) are s@#$ to sit on for anything longer than about 2 hours. The older seats might look dorky but are 1000% more comfortable.

You wouldn't happen to know the manufacturing company on either of those, would you?kitkat271 wrote:Problem is, the new SQ seats (or indeed most of the new economy seats) are s@#$ to sit on for anything longer than about 2 hours. The older seats might look dorky but are 1000% more comfortable.

Isn't that Virgin 737 an 800, not a 700.

Less headroom for window seat passengers, thoough.cal_t wrote:I've worked on the 330s and definitely way better plane to work in than the 777s; it's more user friendly in terms of the designs and space utilisation.
You used to have to pay money to see a freak show; now you have to pay NOT to.
Re: Plane pics @ BNE (dialup warning)
If its any of the pics displayed, i've been told that the 700's have 1 ermergency door above the wings, whilst the 800 has 2.Grenda Driver wrote:Isn't that Virgin 737 an 800, not a 700.

Seats are most likely to be recaro made if they're cheap; but there are other suppliers too.

Re: Plane pics @ BNE (dialup warning)
This is very Correct. -700's on have the one Emergency Exit above the Wing, Plus when you do a rego search of VH-VBQ it says 737-700.BT Buses wrote:If its any of the pics displayed, i've been told that the 700's have 1 ermergency door above the wings, whilst the 800 has 2.Grenda Driver wrote:Isn't that Virgin 737 an 800, not a 700.
