Carbridge new Neoplan Apron buses

Finally can have good close up shoot of it, as is currently parking in the yard behind Carbridge workshop.

It looks like a beached whale have they taken these out of service there would be no other use for them other then at a airport and I thought these had been in service for a while route660

Haha lol. It does resemble a whale! Maybe its fleet name should be Moby Dick.

Here's a pic of it I took yesterday when it was out in the depot compund before boing into the shed for servicing.

Are some of these painted black?? I caught a glimpse of a couple over near Qantas Drive the other evening.

I think the black ones are the older Neoplans that they use.

Nope, its the ex Hong Kong Neoplans that are in the dark livery which is a very dark blue.

I have seen atleast 2 of these new white ones.

Here is a pic of one of the older units after refurb by B.T Ryan. Its currently minus decals.

Whilst they may look "insipidly hideous", they do a fair effort in terms of transporting a large amount of pax over a relatively short distance, as opposed to the current fleet of standard buses, eg. the T Bus and/or the vehicles they use for the REX / Qantaslink service. It'd be interesting if a similar style of vehicle would be able to be used on say, Metrobus 10???

These are specificaly designed for use on airport tarmac services and are not able to be registered for use on regular roads due to their width, hence why standard buses are used on the services you mention.

I think there should be a Cobus from Caetano in Portugal as well
