[NSW] Newcastle/Hunter Line Rail Replacement #7

Post by Windy »

Howdy all!

Some nightshots from Central and Chalmers St.

TV 1814 is a Motor Coach Australia chassis with an Austral body, powered by a Caterpillar 3208 V8 engine and an Allison automatic. AWESOME beast of a bus. This vehicle is ex Morisset Bus Service TV 429. It was really comfortable and really tidy inside as well.

Yes, BenO posted somewhere that it was registered at the end of May, but it hasn't yet received Coastal Liner's signwriting as yet.

Coastal liner got that vehicle off hunter valley. They completely stripped it... did the engine up and re-panelled and re painted it... come up very well

Yes, it came up really well... I did notice it had stretch panels, and it looks really smart. Clearly some $$$ has been spent, and just when you think the Coastal Liner fleet couldn't be more of an enthusiast's paradise, they purchase a Cat powered beast! :)
