nice pics the tram driver on the right was called teddy long he had 51 years service & wanted to drive on last day,but they said NO :evil:ALSO ON THE LAST DAY i refesed to shake hands and have my pic taken with lord mayour clem jones, or go on the t,v news with him, for that the next day I was stood down from duty, so I DIDNT COMENCE DRIVEING BUSES TILL NEXT DAY

The poster in the last photo says it all. Brisbane made the same mistake as Sydney did 8 years earlier.

Jeez you could also tell the seventies were approaching from the hideous fashion sense of the passengers on that last day shot.

It's a tragedy that Brisbane scrapped its trams. The most modern system in Australia; trams with roller bearing (SKF) bogies, plus a range of other features the FMs had.
