In December 1988 Westbus moved into Toongabbie Transports depots with their takeover of the company. The Toongabbie depot was closed and all vehicles stored at the Seven Hills or Northmead depot. A Westbus Volvo next to Worldmaster GM of Toongabbie at the Seven Hills depot.

Hope you enjoyed. Cheers.

Centralian,

Thank you for that awesome selection of photos! Its the first time I've seen a colour photo of the O.305 with the Customs body and the Toongabbie fleet in colour for that matter. Was Helmut Duff (or whatever the name is) also involved in the LPG Ford V8 conversions of some of the Bedfords as well?

Helmut Delfs was the proprietor of Toongabbie Transport Service and certainly experimented with a few bus conversions. Toongabbie also operated 2 Seddon chassied vehicles in the '70's with CCMC bodies but unfortunately I missed getting a record of them. The GM powered Worldmasters were certainly impressive and ended up with Southtrans.

Great pics!!

Man I'd love to go in a ride in one of those screaming Leylands again.

The bus stop was just across the road and I'd hear them at full tilt climbing Barbara Blvd. You could even hear them at idle at the stop!
