Greens new Iveco Low Floor

Post by Deano »

New for Greens Thirroul is this Iveco Delta 260 Low Floor (or Metro). It features the Custom Coaches CB60 EVO II body, with 53 dual purpose seats.

Photo's were taken today at Thirroul Station where it was on Standby for Rail Replacment that is being carried out down here over the school holidays.

That poor bus. I feel sorry for its ugliness.

Don't they have real liveries over there or something?

Good to see someone still making an effort to give their buses distinction and a real livery, not just anothr based bus with a sticker.

The Evo II looks the part aswell.

Nice nice looking vehicle. Does anyone know what the device at the top right hand corner above the dashboard is - looks kind of like a radar detector, but I doubt it is!!

Very interesting livery. Looks messy, but at least it's not white.

I think the destinations along theside fascia are wonderfully old fashioned - I love it. Does any other operator do that sort o thing these days?

You just beat me to it.

I have not seen that sort of thing for quite a few years now especially on a new bus.

The Greens Bustech VST was delivered with the suburbs across the top -complete with spelling error in (I think it was) Austinmer.

No it was Wollongong and North Wollongong, spelt WOOLONGONG. and on the back it had

Greens Northern Coaches

"Servicing Woolongong's northern suburbs.

Looks nice, probably would have looked better with black under where the window-line goes up, and the white band staying straight, but looks good nonetheless. Interesting that only the front desto has been programmed as well.

A nice old fashioned livery, but the side of the bus looks like a webpage designed by a shitty 13 year old bus enthusiast from Canberra.

That bus looks spectacular in that livery. The CB60 EvoII front is growing on me.

Quite true, looks great, dare I say it, even better in person, just a shame we didn't get a ride on it rather than what we ended up on :P

Better looking than the all white ones being built in Adelaide for Busway which some of you SA guys want to have, at least this has colour and a better window line.
SG280H wrote:Don't they have real liveries over there or something?
This is a REAL livery, all the private operators over here (Veolia/ Busways excepted) still have proper liveries and most are more pleasant/ interesting than the standard AdMet/ State Transit/ Transperth or Brisbane Transport liveries, but then again govie buses should carry rather boring liveries.

@Deano, great shots of a neat looking bus in an awsome livery

What a STUNNING bus. Such a beautiful paint job that actually suits the vehicle they were painting. The CB60 EvoII is a wonderful bus - and I wish we had more than 2 buses in QLD with this body.
Cheers,
