[MELB] Ryan Brothers Bus Service

Post by Nexas »

Today, after riding the last inbound 218 with Craig, we did a little bit of Ryan's gunzelling. Ryan Brothers Bus Service, or Ryan's for short, is a small family run bus company based at Tullamarine. The service they provide is very professional and of an extremely high standard, which sets them apart from the majority of bus companies operating in suburban Melbourne these days.

Ryan's operate three routes, as well as many school runs in the Essendon area.

Route 465 - Essendon to Keilor Park
Route 467 - Moonee Ponds to Aberfeldie
Route 468 - Essendon to Highpoint

Routes 465 and 467 are busy, route 465 could definately use artics in peak hour if they had some, which unfortunately they don't. I'm sure you've all read me whinging about this before! :P

If you look at the fleetlists for most of the Northern Suburbs operators, they are all predominantly MB operators, eg:
Northern Bus Lines
Ryan's
Kastoria
Tullamarine Bus Lines
Moonee Valley Bus Lines
Broadmeadows
Moreland.

All had predominantly MB OH1316/ Ansair's in the mid to late 80's, then moved onto MB O405/ Volgren, MB O405NH/ Volgren & now MB O500LE/ Volgren, with a few notable exceptions in most of the above fleets.
need red GA:521, 831.
