I took these a few weeks ago at said location.

Church of Scientology CC Leopard rebody/ex Moors Tours.I think this one has the GM powerplant combined with Wilson semi auto.Why buy a replacement headlight when you can stuff a piece of foam inside the arpeture instead!

I don't envy the driver who would have had to have built up that Telfords Merc air!

Amazingly enough it doesnt take that long, my merc doesn't take long at all to build the air upto 7-8 grand. Usually only about 1 to 2 minutes at the most.

The trouble is that things take a whole lot longer when you have to wait for the airbags to inflate as well as pressuring up the brake system.
There must have been something wrong with that Merc as it is very unusual to see one doing that!

Pop into Ryde Depot's bottom yard any Monday morning and you can see plenty of old Mercs doing that. Quite often they lose air on both sides, and a standard bus becomes a low-floor bus overnight.

Sadly even ex N&W 0405 number 3530 also usually has deflated airbags on one side after being parked for one night.

Also, that Church of Scientology bus is a regular on Victoria Road - in fact there are two, quite similar - one has opening windows the other doesn't. They can appear any time - even late at night, and have a variable number of passengers on board. Where do they normally travel to and from does anyone know?
Is it the truth, or did you hear it from the truth engineer?

The Church of Scientology Leylands that Mr Bean refers to are still regularly plying Victoria Road, in 2012 !
Which has the most outrageous exhaust note?.............:-)

The western terminus of the operation is the former St Patricks Marist College monastery which the church purchased a number of years ago. It is located in Dorahy St, Dundas. The westbound service turns off Victoria Road at Kissing Point Road, then turn into Dorahy Street.

Does this mean you don't normally wait for both brakes and airbags to fill? Ask Mr Scania how many MkII sumps he's replaced through drivers' inflatience impatience.
