The Pre region code 13 matches Transit Systems Region 3, while the Post code is 31 - i.e. U-Go Mobility Region 10.

Perhaps U-Go will essentially be taking back the whole of the ex-M92, but keeping it as separate routes 920 & 960.
Yep, the new timetable shows U-Go operating the 920 from April 29th. I don’t see any timetabling changes, the first services still start at Lidcombe in line with dead running from South Granville for example. I also know that TSA have used staff cars for driver changes, so it’ll be interesting to see how round 2 plays out…

Not as yet but new timetables are now live.

 Route 350 also has additional services - up to every 6 minutes at times.
 Route 397x according to the JP now completes the loop and returns to Maroubra Jn or Eastgardens (1 trip) but this is not reflected in the timetable.

Though for a bus from Paddington to terminate at Town Hall, is there a place to lay up a bus or will it have to be scheduled as a loop (going via, say, Clarence/Market/York St... noting the left turn from York to Druitt/Park St sometimes takes a while especially if multiple light rail vehicles are passing).
Perhaps in Castlereagh St, Museum Stand F; returning via Bathurst, Elizabeth, Park ??
Castlereagh Street is a difficult place for buses these days. No left or right turns permitted from Castlereagh into Bathurst or Liverpool, cycleway construction, eventually cycleway leaving only one through traffic lane. Apparently attempts have been made to move all East express routes back to Elizabeth.

Stand F is down at the Downing Centre. Its a long way to go for a bus to go down to Goulburn Street to turn back around onto Park Street.

Sadly the PDF map for 394X is still showing the pre-29/4/2024 information

And in the PM peak, it looks like the 392X/394X will both travel via the Eastern Distributor to Bent St (as per the inbound AM peak journey). But the 394X doesn't pickup at UNSW (as per current arrangements) :(

Wow - that's exceeding the service that the 400 was providing just before its breakup into 400/420! (Back then it was 7/8 min service even during the peaks?)

I misread the maps. I was thinking of the outbound stop between Park and Bathurst Sts. I wasn't aware of the turn restrictions, perhaps "Buses excepted" could be invoked?

Wasn’t the 400 split because the STA was making it a duel region route depot wise that was interchangeable between Waverley and Kingsgrove

Nope. Mainly for Transit Systems taking over Region 6 in 2018.

Just checked a few more timetables for the 29/4 changes:

309
  • AM peak southbound trips face 2 trips removed per hour (down from around 10 trips/15 trips per hour to 8 trips/13 trips per hour between 0600-0759
for departures from Redfern). All trips out of Redfern from first bus until around 0800 will run for the full length to Port Botany.
  • AM peak northbound trips get additional 2 trips/1 trip per hour at Matraville from 0700-0859
310
  • Totally butchered from the current 15 trips in the AM peak to only 7 trips, and 20 trips in the PM peak to only 8 trips.

307
  • Two additional trips in the early AM peak out of Eastgardens (arr Mascot somewhere between 0700-0730)
Judging by the looks of it, all of the major changes seem to be relegated to trips operating out of Port Botany?

More new timetables have been uploaded for commencement from 29/4/2024.

500X
  • Service cut by 1 bus per hour in the outbound direction for most hours of the weekday. In the highest PM peak between 1700-1759 at Hyde Park, 2 services per hour have been removed. Ironically this means from 2100-2159 ex Hyde Park, the service is more frequent than during the weekday daytime or even weekend daytime. This also means at times, the service frequency is as low as 20 min during the daylight hours.
  • The frequency ex Top Ryde City during the weekday peak increased from 13 to 17 buses per hour from 0700-0759.
533
  • 2-3 trips have been cuts in the AM peak for buses from Chatswood. All PM peak short running trips from Rhodes to Olympic Park have been axed.
  • Minor corresponding cuts in the opposite direction as well.
525
  • 1 trip in the early AM peak in both directions removed.
501
  • One short running trip ex Ryde Depot towards Parramatta cut in the AM peak. New trip from 0900 at Pitt St towards Parramatta added to reduce the 30 min service gap.
  • Additional (school - though doesn't have "S" designation) trip out of Winbourne St West Ryde at 15:17 towards Parramatta
  • Additional (school - though doesn't have "S" designation) trip out of Marsden HS Meadowbank at 15:12 towards Parramatta
  • PM peak trips out of Pitt St increased from 5 to 7 trips per hour between 1600-1759.
  • PM peak trips out of Pitt St decreased from 6 to 5 trips per hour between 1800-1859.

550
  • Two trips ex Macq Park from 0700-0759 removed, one trip from 0800-0859 added.
  • One trip ex Macq Park between 1400-1459 removed, another trip ex Macq Park from 1800-1859 removed (this makes the 5 departures from Macq Park between 1900-1959 look far better than the silly 3 departures between 1800-1859).
  • Corresponding removals in the opposite direction.
545
  • One extra trip ex Macq Park at 0647 towards Parramatta.
  • One extra trip ex Eastwood at 0644 towards Parramatta.
  • Two trips ex Macq Park from 0800-0859 removed.
  • One trip ex Macq Park from 1100-1159 removed, one more trip ex Macq Park from 1400-1459 removed.
  • Two trips ex Macq Park from 1500-1559 removed. One trip per hour ex Macq Park from 1700-1859 removed.
  • One trip ex Parramatta removed from 1200-1259.
  • Two trips ex Parramatta removed from 1500-1559 (6 services per hour down to 4 services per hour). However, two trips out of Parramatta are added from 1600-1659 (4 services per hour up to 6 services per hour)
  • Two trips ex Parramatta removed from 1700-1859.
  • One trip ex Parramatta removed from 2100-2159 (halving the frequency to only just hourly after 2100 hrs)
515
  • One additional trip at 1815 ex Ryde towards Eastwood in the PM peak. This additional trip also returns to Ryde, from Eastwood, at 1837.
518
  • Additional trips at 0659, 0904, 1029, 1714 ex Meadowbank. Similar additions in the other direction to provide the buses at Meadowbank Wharf.
  • 0744 trip ex Meadowbank removed.

It seems like extraordinarily poor form to spring changes on the public with only a week's notice; even if they're not monumental, it just seems common courtesy to give plenty of advance notice.

You'd think there would be at least a minimum 2 week mandatory announcement before the fact...for all minor and major changes...for all modes...

Now Wed 24/4 and no announcement. There was even a bunch of 'Service Changes' signs stuck up on a bunch of bus stops today...saying:

"Some bus timetables will change to improve reliability and capacity and better align with current traffic conditions."

Probably wont be anything till Friday, due to public holiday tomorrow (25/4)

They are supposed to do it two weeks before, but it is odd that sometimes they don’t do any announcement at all or do it on the day the changes come into effect.

Havent had a proper chance to check the R7 timetable changes posted above but for the 550 at least (as its my local service), the changes have just effectively made the cancelled trips 'permanent' in the sense that the base timetable is now the same as the current 'reduced' timetable with a rebalancing on the 1800-1859 span emphasising that.

It still means that at the height of peak, both directions will still experience standing or crush loads for most of the route from Parra to Epping and vice versa and with the 625 only really able to pick up some of the slack from Carlo to Parra, it still isnt an ideal service (theres also the issue of them using rigids on this route with the sparse artic every now and then when in the past, it was more or less balanced so it wasnt too bad if a service had standing load only after it left Parra or Epping).

It only takes one of each service being canned for the next service to be rammed and people will get left behind either at North Parra (the bit between James Ruse Drive and Church St) or past Carlo Court (ive seen this happen more than I expect it).

It’s a shame the information isn’t even correct.

Route 362 hasn’t actually stopped operating since the end of DST yet this announcement doesn’t mention that and the posters at bus stops say effective May 4.

No, it just means that the timetable in term 2 is the same timetable as in term 1 - nothing has changed, and the temporary service reductions during school term are continuing. This all started from someone comparing school holidays timetables against term 2, without being able to reference term 1 timetables for comparison. An easy mistake to do.

Route 362 hasn’t actually stopped operating since the end of DST yet this announcement doesn’t mention that and the posters at bus stops say effective May 4.
The good news is that the 362 will now run all year round - that’s an improvement in the service. More important - and actually has a meaningful consequence - than such nitpicking pedantry.
