To enable Snowy 2 to connect HVDC cables in the proven tunnel from Parrahub to Melbourne via Canberra and Albury with the proven Japanese SC maglev it has to order the 60 Chinese hardrock double shield TBM now to allow the FIFO teams to drive it in two years from the 30 launch shaft compounds.

As well as creating peace in the South China sea it will remove planes through the day and trucks on this route with overnight container trains taking pallatised freight off the roads.

Admittedly it would be the first in the world but university people from all over the world would learn a lot as you only learn by doing in my opinion.
Regards Eddy.

Because the Japanese SC maglev goes so fast I suggest a single guideway at the base of the 60 double shield hardrock 14m diameter Chinese TBM driven tunnel with passing stations at Canberra and Albury with 60 FIFO international teams from 30 launch sites compounds to drive it in two years.

I have suggested about putting the HVDC cables in the tunnel that will earn $12 billion p/a on the maglev forum.

After watching this video I think the price of oil may go through the roof. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKp9RzIIWz4

In that case I won't watch it. I don't want to be responsible for the price of oil going through the roof.

Ha ha but if Ukraine blows up all Russias oil wells it may cost each truck double to run Melbourne to Sydney and a plane fare will double on that route so even more reason to use a Japanese SC maglev.

China claims 623 km/h maglev train but I cannot see how with only 1 cm clearance.

I put on the Maglev forum that it is hard to believe the China claim of 623 km/h train.

At present Australia has the chance to connect Sydney to Melbourne via Canberra and Albury with a proven Japanese SC maglev but as it has never been done before most people want to use last century rails so we will be stuck with trucks and planes like China and America.

As we are a democracy governments will give the people what they want which does not encourage any change and it is quite often locked so people cannot even talk about new ideas.
