I wonder if TTS will adopt some practices used by its sister company in Perth. Will there be some resources from Mandai deployed on Route 143 which starts from Toa Payoh bus station, for example.

Anyway, I can smell the demise of SMRT's bus operations. They lost Bukit Batok to TTS 5 years ago and half of their Yishun routes 2 years later to SBS Transit. Now, the rest of Yishun and Sembawang will be under TTS. SMRT had practically owned the Yishun area since Day #1 and had been in charge of Sembawang from 1983 onwards. Route 167 was their longest-surviving route.

Singapore's smallest depot (the now-defunct Ayer Rajah Bus Park) held more vehicles (200) than Perth's largest (Palmyra with 180). Bulim depot has a capacity of about 400-500 buses. Hougang depot (owned by SBS Transit) is apparently able to fit 700-800.

All the new bus depots in Singapore are multi-storeyed anyway.

That being said, Sealink in Perth has over 700 vehicles spread over 6 packages while its Singapore branch will be handling the same number of vehicles but distributed between 2 packages.
