I had been readed about CityGliders service will do Articulated bus very soon instead of rigid.
Austral Volvo B10M mk3 Artic (375-380) 1991-2012
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
^@BT Enthusiast- Is that new route confirmed or speculation from the Pullenvale ward transport study (or something similar)? https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/traffic ... t-research
If so, can you post a link or source?

Brisbane Transport study on a new bus route. They want to know what the community thinks. A bit like the Riverhills research thing...
Council link https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5271970/WPPTCR
Though they could be just doing a new PPT route (community maxi taxi) in Pullenvale

Anyways, if artics are used, where will the old rigids go? Naked at Toowong???superbossgc wrote:I had been readed about CityGliders service will do Articulated bus very soon instead of rigid.

It will be a combination of Artics and rigids. Artics may not get wrap and will only come on in peak periods. Or perhaps the plan is to run the service every 5mins 22hrs/day. Won't know until they are built.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Today I also saw a B8A and B12 consecutively...the buses must be really late or COuncil is stepping up 66, as numerous reports last year were made that the buses were so crowded they missed uni classes as to wait for another bus.daveeyh wrote:1298 is now at G as well.
Unusual sight for University term this evening where three consecutive Route 66 buses arriving at Southbank around 6.00pm from UQ were standard rigid buses, rather than tags or artics.

T2868 now in service - rego XQ28JM.daveeyh wrote:T2866 (XQ20JM) is parked at Toowong garage.
T2868 (no rego yet) is parked at Volgren.

I'm on a free ride right now on 1273! It's go card machines have malfunctioned. The driver is giving everyone free ride and everyone else is delighted too.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
T2867 (rego XQ25JM) also in service.
1281, 1282 and 1283 all on southside routes today so look to be latest transfers.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
It looks like Garden City will next be the new Toowong (with more than 100 MANs there soon)
I take this a good opportunity to retire 1200, but some may argue they are still too young to go.

T2870 out on 379 runs earlier this morning and a couple 362 runs as we speak.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
2869 is also out and about.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
I have seen 2868 also. Is 2871 coming or not?
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
2868 has been out for about a week. Presumably 2871 is not far off considering they deliver an average of about one per week.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
2872 was parked at Volgren on Sunday.ABS wrote:2868 has been out for about a week. Presumably 2871 is not far off considering they deliver an average of about one per week.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
These three buses have G's attached.daveeyh wrote:1281, 1282 and 1283 all on southside routes today so look to be latest transfers.
Anyone know why 1289-1294 are still at Toowong as transfers to G jumped from 1295 to 1288?
Also, E2194 is now V2194.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
I see E is getting S B7 Optimi, and in return their newest B7s are going to V. Carina's newest B7s are going to S, which means C is losing buses with no replacement.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
I just saw T2871 in service doing the 412 Route.ABS wrote:2868 has been out for about a week. Presumably 2871 is not far off considering they deliver an average of about one per week.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Parked at Volgren today: T2872 (rego XQ73IM), T2875 (no rego yet) and G1299.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
T1200 is the first Brisbane Transport MAN 18.310 to be withdrawn from service (Apart from T1203).
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
T2872 is now in service doing the 390 to Brookside Shopping Centre.daveeyh wrote:Parked at Volgren today: T2872 (rego XQ73IM), T2875 (no rego yet) and G1299.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Is this because of old age or an incident?EamonMBT wrote:T1200 is the first Brisbane Transport MAN 18.310 to be withdrawn from service (Apart from T1203).
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Yeah, and apparently 2873 is also in service as well.BT Enthusiast wrote:I have also seen 2872 today
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
I don't fully know but I am assuming it is because of its age as it was delivered in 2005 and they already have the Scania's from 2004 and 2005 out already.BT Enthusiast wrote:Is this because of old age or an incident?EamonMBT wrote:T1200 is the first Brisbane Transport MAN 18.310 to be withdrawn from service (Apart from T1203).
