eg runs 750, 755, 760, 765
Its for Defqon Festival at Regatta Centre.
So the new 15 minute regular service can't handle the crowds?
There are shuttle buses running from Penrith station to the event, so would be a good place for bus spotters.

Similarly strange timetabling on Airport Line with trains all stops trains to Kingsgrove then inbound starts at Wolli Creek into the City to Ashfield.
This is to provide an emtpy train for T1 passengers to change at Wolli Creek.

Probably part of the additional services for the Running Festival.

There were also a few K sets running between North Sydney/Chatswood & City. I think for crewing & logistical reasons it was easier to use silver sets. There would be in theory a few T sets from Mortdale spare but trackwork doesn’t make it possible. Also some H sets spare.
Due to trackwork today, T4 pax had to change at Wolli Creek for T8 into City. The platform at Wolli Ck got very crowded, with people almost over the yellow line. One thing I did notice is that the platform at Wolli Ck is really narrow, with only a wider waiting area in the middle. And also as usual, there was almost no one at the very front and end of the platform. At least everyone was able to fit on one train, however I think people may have struggled to get on at the Airport though.

That's privatisation for you. They don't give a stuff about long term planning, just about short term profit and they even failed on that score. A bunch of imbeciles. The Liberal government of the day is equally to blame and we're still paying the price for it and will be for at least a decade to come.

And the Illawarra Line part was built with only two platforms despite being a four track line ... that in itself should tell you how scornful they were of the future when designing it.
Also, C/K sets have much more primitive systems for controlling the AC. I think the AC is locked to a certain temperature and the control system only really knows how to set it to full blast or off.
A passenger disturbance at Concord West was mostly at fault for the first cancellation.
The second cancellation was caused by the favourite Central Coast to North Shore train becoming late on the Central Coast. This cancellation would not have happened if they stopped running those trains out of sector in the morning. They should all run via Epping.
