Not necessarily - they can be and are already being used on other routes such as 619 - there was a recent discussion on that aspect.

Since you refer to "other routes" what are your assumptions regarding the routes they currently operate on?idontknow556 wrote:What will happen to the Hillsbus Deckers once the Metro begins operations? Re: Private Observations - July to December 2018
The M61 isn't going away in a hurry. Even when SMNW opens, the fastest way from Castle Hill (and Baulkham Hills) to the City will still be M61.BAMBAM wrote:Very early to speculate, no one knows at this stage, who knows they might the deckers need to to provide feeder routes to the metro services.idontknow556 wrote:What will happen to the Hillsbus Deckers once the Metro begins operations? I think even the 619 will still be time competitive from Baulkham Hills to Macquarie Uni Station with SMNW.
Re: Private Observations - July to December 2018
Now that they own Forest, one option could be to boost capacity on routes to Belrose.
Another option could be to turn the Northwest T-Way into a B-Line, with a trunk route of frequent deckers and feeders to the T-Way and Metro.
Or boost capacity on the 611 and M61, because even after the Metro reaches the city there will still be strong demand from Baulkham Hills, the M2, and Seven Hills/Blacktown to Macquarie Park and the city.

One of the very small buses (the other day did a route 28. Is that normal? It was one of the white small ones, not the ones they usually use on the on-demand 59D runs.
White lives matter too.

Can you be more specific?
Re: Private Observations - July to December 2018
Newcastle Transport has 10 small BCI Proma low-floor's that have been primarily used for the on demand trial area dubbed route 59D. Four of these are in TfNSW On Demand livery and the rest are white. Some of these white ones have recently started operating regular route services for some reason.
With the patronage of most NT routes it doesn't present a capacity problem, and they're accessible too, it's just odd that these plain white BCI's (both small and coach) are being used so frequently on regular route services.

Looking at the interior photo on the BCI webpage, this is clearly a low-entry bus, not a low floor bus:mandonov wrote:Newcastle Transport has 10 small BCI Proma low-floor's

Re: Private Observations - July to December 2018
Would have to be anyway, those BCI Proma LF's at Newcastle Transport, the closest thing to a service route they've operated is the 110 and that was fleet no #3413 I believe when it was the one off last year of it's kind at the time at NT, never seen them on main service routes or the 110 since then (The occasional Citridiers have filled the BCI Proma LF spot in) and who knows what KD's plans are for the other ones that they've had delivered in the last couple of months, but I suspect they'll be done in the On Demand AOA at some point. I don't see the LF's operating service routes any time soon.

I've noticed that Busways #1187 is quite colourful, it has grey, orange and blue seats.

Re: Private Observations - July to December 2018
Busways might be trialing a new seat cover after about 25 years of using the blue vinyl covering and 1187 is the bus that they are using as sone type of prototype to see what passengers think before they start refurbishing the seats of their other buses to this new grey orange and blue seat coveringidontknow556 wrote:I've noticed that Busways #1187 is quite colourful, it has grey, orange and blue seats.

Transdev #8120 is likely to be withdrawn soon as it is the oldest bus in the fleet and the registration is about to expire. Providing that Transdev doesn't renew the registration before then.

Sure does look much better than Gladys’ tennis logo, which it has visibly covered up. Transit Systems, ex STA Ansair Orana L113CRL, forgot the fleet number

Seen in Campbelltown this afternoon on route 888 was brand new looking Busabout MO 6494 complete with scrolling LED display. Can anyone help with make & model information?
