DPTI are currently looking for new centrally located premises for its Adelaide Metro Info Centre. The current building is due to be demolished to make way for Adelaide's tallest skyscraper.

Torrens Transit Mile End Depot received the last 2 Custom CB 80's --1971 and 1972 from the outstanding order.
We await the Governments announcement as to who has won the tender(which closed in February) for 400 new buses for Adelaide Metro for the next 10 years

This morning I saw Torrens K280UB 1938 turn right onto Cross Rd from South Rd. This is the first time I've ever seen a Newton bus in the vicinity of this area. Perhaps this is just a one off or has it been transferred permanently to Mile End?

W91 buses use South Road,could have been cutting in on a 170/171/172 route.

This one was running not in service, it was heading south on South Rd, turned right onto Cross Rd & most probably would've turned left onto Marion Rd. I've seen Mile End buses do this regularly first thing of a morning but it was the first time I'd ever seen a bus from another Torrens Transit depot do this.

The first four 100 route services (towards Arndale) start at stop 11A on Marion Rd (just north of tram crossing), so could’ve been starting one of them. Or could’ve been heading to Camden Park depot for a meal break. Or heading to Glenelg to start H20 or 190 or 167, etc. Plenty possibilities.

Now the ticket barriers have been installed at Noarlunga Centre there are always at least three staff (often more) in attendance monitoring their use. Wondering how their wages stack up against the revenue that's being saved as there can't be any way this new arrangement makes any kind of financial sense? Putting those salaries into travelling ticket inspectors would have been a much better idea I think.

Are they just keeping an eye on the ticket machines or do they do other customer service as well?

Ive noticed TT 1308 is now sporting AOA for the city free connector as well as 1373. Also i have not seen 1901 in service for awhile now can someone confirm its still in service or moved to sydney like some other vehicles?

Another Bustech bus on the road this morning, 1981 from Mile End. Similar to Port’s 1906 and Elizabeth’s 2620 and 2621. Note that this is not the green fronted electric BusTech bus that has been sitting at the power point in Mile End for several months now.

Looks like we'll be seeing more complaints about the window line if Adelaide is going to receive more Bustech bodied buses. They don't seem to have the squeaks and creaks that the current Scanias do, but I am surprised that such a generic feature is not implemented on a modern bus.

But then, I'm not in favour of Adelaide being swamped with more jackpot CB80s. Low floor bodies have been on the market for decades now, and yet even brand new ones still have obvious downsides.

Honestly, the comments you blokes make about Bustech buses are, quite frankly, puerile - if you have genuine criticisms of their products, then argue your points out, in a reasonable and well constructed manner.

Bustech make some great and innovative products, but I am not a fan of the window line levels on their single deckers,however I must say that your derogatory comments serve no purpose.

New Bustechs 1973 and 1981 are Scanias, so while the body is the same as 1906 and 2453 (2620/21 are BCIs, not Bustechs), they're the same underneath as CB80s 1941-1972.

In Bustech related news, another unregistered Bustech Scania was seen sitting at Scania earlier this week.

I would be hoping that by now AdMet would have noted the window/seat line mismatch and requested that Bustech/Precision rectify it in further deliveries. Until then I think it's premature to make further comment on the product.

It would be interesting to see the electrics on the road in service. It's taking a hell of a long time.

The second has now arrived at Mile End depot, however it still isn't registered, so could be a while before it enters service.

Ok then, how about the air con being pre-set to 22 degrees and the driver is unable to alter it? As such we'll always be too hot in summer and too cold in winter. I see that as a major design flaw that makes the drivers job just that little bit harder than it needs to be. Over to you.
