And back to the Fish Markets - timetable on Captain Cooks website http://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/ ... 80315a.pdf accepts Opal Pay but not present on Transport Info timetables as far as I can see.

That's an interesting TT - same arrival and departure times at the two terminals! It'll be interesting to see what actually happens.

I'm guessing it's less than 20 minutes running time and just not very precisely shown.

One hopes so, for I'm sure that the table would need padding to allow for large moving obstacles appearing on the route.

Yes that would be 4 months after closing but no official announcement on the reopening has been made yet. Posts of this type should enclose a link to such announcements.

Re: NSW Ferry Discussions 2018.
There is a new timetable for the Parramatta River ferry as from 12th June which strangely is more than 2 months ahead but it still does not include Abbotsford.
I dont know what the new timetable is for.

I’m glad they’re using logic in doing both wharves simultaneously. However, I would be concerned that the new Wharf placement may affect the turn around ability of the vessels. I could be and hope to be wrong!
Also glad they aren’t reopening amory Wharf as a temporary replacement. Mind you, I still think that should become a permanent stop just with a better Wharf haha.
Does anyone know if the proposed Ermington Wharf is ever going to happen?
Re: NSW Ferry Discussions 2018.
What's more likely is a Camellia Wharf, as proposed in the Camellia Master Plan.

Armory is a potential replacement for Olympic Park and not Rydalmere.gilberations wrote:

Good to see them upgrading the wharfs out that way. A wharf at Camellia once redeveloped and also one for Rhodes would be good too.

There has since been a further new timetable dated 17th June which again includes Abbotsford so it seems to have reopened without any fanfare.Fleet Lists wrote:There is a new timetable for the Parramatta River ferry as from 12th June which strangely is more than 2 months ahead but it still does not include Abbotsford.
I dont know what the new timetable is for.
And over a month since any posts in this thread.

I noticed yesterday that May Gibbs (formerly Emerald 6 / Ferry McFerryFace) no longer shows any reference, outwardly at least, to the aforementioned controversial name.
Re: NSW Ferry Discussions 2018.
Andrew Constance McConstanceFace is probably hoping everyone will forget by the time the election hoves into view.

I suspect 99.9% of people didn't and still don't care.
Personally I think it was great.
Millions of dollars equivalent free publicity from traditional and social media.
Lots of excited kids.
All for the price of simple decal sticker that probably coat $100

I wondered that too. They didn't say, just that they would be handy for people going to work or shopping.

Is there a possibility that in the future Sydney Ferries will no longer operate Ferries to Manly and allow private operators such as Manly Fast Ferry and Captain Cook to take over?

Re: NSW Ferry Discussions 2018.
I don't think so because Sydney Ferries fleet has much higher capacity.idontknow556 wrote:Is there a possibility that in the future Sydney Ferries will no longer operate Ferries to Manly and allow private operators such as Manly Fast Ferry and Captain Cook to take over?
However, Transport NSW could re-tender the operations of existing fleet to other private operators in the future.
