Assuming these plates are manufactured in sequential order, there are only a maximum of 245 plates yet to be made.

Surely the RMS has already devised a plan for plates beyond TV.9999 ?????

Given that they, presumably, make them in at least batches of 100, they would be dangerously close to having completed the series.

Has anybody heard thus far??

That was the original question in this thread, and nobody has provided a definitive answer yet.

Not official and I might be dreaming but I wonder if they'll do T/V xxxx plates like they do with the m/o ones.

No way = the slash would cause all sorts of computer problems which was the reason they changed the country plates from MO xxxx to xxxx MO and the plates we call m/o are now on the computer just as MO.

Fair enough then

Maybe they'll just have to come up with 2 new letters followed by the digits
Here's some examples what I think may be suitable. I don't know if these letters are in use but if being used on buses these make sense.

TB - Travel Bus or Transportation Bus xxxx (xxxx representing numbers)

TC - Transportation Coach (Like the above but just different wording)

TO - Transportation Omnibus (If that word is still even used anymore)

South Australia uses SB on it's plates but I don't know if it means anything but if it doesn't then SB could be used which would stand for Special Bus.

In the rare case it would come to 3 letters instead of 2 STV - Special Transportation Vehicle
And STB - Special Transportation Bus.

Back in the early 1990s, they ran out out of available TV-nnnn plates for a while. and issued standard plates in TVa-nnn format. So perhaps a TV-nn-aa format could be adopted?

TV-0000 to TV-0999 blocks are yet to be issued.

The HC series went back to HC-0001 in late 2013. The former country MO series went back to MO-0001 in 1985. Conditional series went back to 00001-C after it reached 99999-C in 2012, it is wait and see.

Can't remember if this an historical MBL/Telford number?

Sure is Boronia. It goes back to at least the early operating days of Benny Rachwal.
Nice to see Scott Dunn reusing an historical plate within the business.

I think one of these belongs to Digger Shuttle Service (Thornton) It would appear to be a Volvo B7R on a Marcopolo Audace 1050 body.

I think either plates were issued back in March or February as I recall seeing their Audace in Sydney on one of the plates. My memory is a little fuzzy on which one it is but I know one of these plates belongs to the bus I mentioned above. I'll have to wait and see if I can spot it doing a shuttle somewhere as that's my best chance I got of spotting it and confirming which TV plate it's on.

Today I saw TV-1116 on a new white Toyota Hiace Minibus in King St Sydney around 12:05pm. I am not certain yet if it has gone back to cover cancelled blocks from 1000 onwards or just a remake?
