Would I be correct in assuming that these buses are top quality in every aspect, sounding like Volvo B58s, with no interior flaws whatsoever?

They haven't built it yet. We'll wait and see how quality goes from these new buses from this new plant.

"We had to cut overheads and so we had to move out of the Villawood premises," explained Dunn. "The new St Mary's location is the same size as Villawood, give or take a square metre or so," he added.
To bring us back to topic. The real difference in the two premises is the substantial reduction in office and administration floor area - which provides a big difference in overheads.

The acid test will of course be how many old customers return or new ones can be attracted. It has basically gone down twice, a third time would likely be terminal. Let us wish them luck.

Are any retrenched staff going to be offered positions, should they want it?

The articles so far refer to custom being "acquired by Telfords" (with references to the Dunn Group).

I don't know how their hierarchy works, but I'm more inclined to think that it would have been acquired by the Dunn Group, and would be run at arms length from the Telford operation?

Would expect the corporate structure to have both Custom and Telford as subsidiaries of the Dunn Group in the UK. Although owner Scott Dunn is (or at least was) based in Sydney, so operationally Custom may report into Telfords.

All of the Custom bodied vehicles in the Telford fleet are ex demonstrators or second-hand, so a long time if ever that they placed an order with Custom, having largely bought overseas bodied vehicles in recent years.

Yes I would think that is the case. That is the way Wiki has been updated
"In March 2018 Custom Bus was taken over by the Dunn Group which also operates Telford's Bus & Coach and as from 7th May 2018 will relocate to Vallance St, St Mary's. "

Those three are probably ones that were part complete at the old factory and have been moved across to be finished.

I see from the property news that Custom Bus Asset Management PL has taken an 8 year lease on the St Marys site.
