Torrens Transit received a new Scania last week--1969 at Mile End Depot.Expect another SL202 withdrawal soon.
Another new Scania (no number) is at Scania Wingfield-Could it be 1970 also heading to Mile End?

More than likely to Camden Park to steal the spot of 1602.

As replacement services are on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only no additional buses would be required in the fleet.

Adelaide Metro have announced that the Currie Street Info Centre would be closed over the whole of the Easter weekend.
The info centre at Adelaide Railway Station will be open over the Easter weekend.
There will be lots of Interstate and Overseas visitors in Adelaide over the weekend. I am sure they won't wont to go trapsing down to the Railway Station to get help/Info!

Yesterday and again today westbound services along North Terrace between EastTerrace and King William Street have been subject to extensive delays due to the ongoing(and drawn out) Tram extension works.
Delays of 30 minutes were quite common, with some services running up to 60 minutes late.
Yesterday I drove along North Terrace and it took me almost 45 minutes between East Terrace and King William Street,in fact I was stopped for nearly 15 minutes near Pulteney Street.
Many bus drivers were letting passengers off along the way as it was quicker for them to walk than stay on the bus.

What I noticed was that buses in inter-peak were running up to an hour late, whilst during peak they were almost on time. Are the works scheduled to take place outside of peak hour at the moment, or is there some other explanation for this?

It is annoying when the service that precedes the one I need to catch isn't showing up at all. I managed to make one which was just under an hour late a minute or two before the other one was due.

Works are scheduled to happen between 10:00 and 15:00. Within these hours, it's chaos. Outside, it's not so bad. Residual delays may occur for a little while after it is reopened, by buses that were caught up in the chaos earlier in the day.

130* (forget the last number but it was a smaller than a CB60/80) was spotted on a low loader heading up the Hume Highway near the NSW Southern Highlands tonight heading north.

No idea where it was heading but do wonder if it's Queensland bound.

1302 was the bus in question-retired from Torrens Transit fleet.

What's the reason for this?

On a similar note, 1602 is now retired.

And to think I saw a glimpse of it this morning heading across Edward St/Grange Rd on a city bound 190 as I was waiting at the intersection on my G40.

I was doing a city bound 190 in bus 1304 this morning, and I reckon I saw a G40 on Goodwood Rd at the time (around 0930).

Bus 1302 was the one that was in only yellow and white livery: perhaps they’ve found some red and blue paint in Qld to finally finish the job. LOL.

And on the Midis, I saw bus 117 in service on a 202 or 209 crossing Grand Junction Road into Briens Road at about 12 noon yesterday. Maybe Light City short on buses to be able to meet demands of weeknight AO services and so some Midis were released from captivity?

As far as I know 117 is the only Midi still in service-all the others have been withdrawn. Most of the time 117 does 591 trips both am and pm peaks.
It was on a G10A yesterday as well.

I didn’t know that 117 was still around. I was referring to Tuesday’s comment on this thread about 8 Midis having disappeared from Morphettville’s yard.

No one has yet advised where those 8 Midis have gone?

Sorry, I meant I saw 1602, not 1302 & this was around 0740.

Bus stops in Mawson Lakes Blvd have been updated to a revised yellow/black scheme that shows "o-bahn" on them.

Spotted 1970 in service this morning, doing a 150 on a Mile End shift. So new Scania CB80s are still being delivered from somewhere.

There are no new Scanias currently at Wingfield. As Customs have been taken over by Telfords-NSW and are currently moving to new location it could be a while before production ramps up.

I haven’t seen 1905, the white Midi sized Wight Bus, for at least 2 months. It’s still listed on fleet lists as being at Mile End: I believe it was only ever in Adelaide on trial, so maybe it has moved on to somewhere else? Has anyone seen it recently?
