This is a new book that discovered visiting an 80M shop in Hong Kong yesterday.
It is by Stephen Cho and contains photos by various people including The Inspector. It is a wonderful book, covering the current and historic scenes very well and the photos through the 136 page book are particularly good, but also the narrative and bus detail is wonderful.
The book is published by New Overground Publishing HK , the cost is $168 HKD or $27 AUD and it is highly recommended!!

Re: Australia & New Zealand Double Decker Bus
I just thought I would make the point that this book is written mainly in English, with lesser amounts of Chinese (Cantonese) which is distinctly the opposite to most books on buses published in Hong Kong.
Re: Australia & New Zealand Double Decker Bus
The written language that you see is Chinese. Cantonese (or the southern dialect) is a spoken dialect.
If the book has an Australian subject perhaps it will be available in Australia?

Re: Australia & New Zealand Double Decker Bus
My point is simple, the book is written with English seemingly the dominant language - I do not profess to understand Chinese characters ( either for Cantonese or Mandarin), but there does appear to be a lot less of their characters, compared to other dual language bus books, such as a fairly recent Singapore bus book. As you probably know only old Canton Region, which included Hong Kong, of China speaks Cantonese, whereas all/most other areas speak Mandarin. The Canton area is now called Guangzhou.
I do not know if the book is available in Australia, which would be a great pity if not. However anyone who interested should contact the usual reputable HK on-line suppliers such as 80M or Jotus.

When the book is locally available, do not hesitate to buy it. It is a really good book, which provides a comprehensive look at double deckers here and NZ, both now and historically. Additionally the the photos throughout the book are very good, some provided by the illustrious Inspector!!!
