A look back at Melbourne Tourist Shuttle (Part 2)

Post by venturatiger »

Hi all, when the Tourist Shuttle went out to tender, the contract was secured by the Driver Group who used a Volvo B7RLE, Volgren Demonstrater & 3 Bustech's from the Gilbert Group in NSW till Drivers new buses were delivered
It's ironic that a Melbourne Tourist Shuttle was uiung 3 NSW registered vehicles
To me this was the most attractive of the 4 liveries used in the life of the shuttle

Cheers Venturatiger

I saw the Custom Coaches Driver's buses operating rail replacements on the Pakenham line last week minus the titles. End of the line I guess for the service.

Some of them have been helping out on Transdev routes over the last few days and also during the last week or so of Term 3.

The Volgren demo was actually a B12BLE which is now running with Carbridge in Brisbane

The 2 older Bustechs were Volvo B7RLEs, the Merc was an 0500LE
yolo seems to be a bit of a trend!

You mean sub-contracted by Dysons, quite common for other operators to sub contract rail work to other operators, Ventura are also assisting in the shutdown
