Service Changes for nRAH
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
A new coloured brochure for the City Connector is now available on the Adelaide Metro website,as well as the 98/99 services it incorporates the temporary 97A timetable between the new and old RAH.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
New sign for stop Y1 on North Tce has been installed at the corner of Liverpool St (east side).
Both of the 2 new stops can be seen on Google now.

Had a look for new printed timetables at the InfoCentre on the corner of King William and Currie Street in the city today hoping to see as outlined at http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/Announc ... e-Hospital
Anyone seen any of these out in the wild?
The 97-98-99 are out of stock as they were last week and the others are still at the old (pre 3 September 2017) revision with none of them showing "Effective 3 September 2017" on the front cover as per the PDF version. I'll try again in a weeks time.Updated bus timetables below are available now:
* 500-501-502-N502
* 506-546
* 542-N542
* 543
* 544-M44
* 823-840X-T840-T843-860F-863-T863-864-N864
* 861-N864
* C1-C2-N1
* 97-98-99 Free City Connector

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Any one observed how the new stops (Y1 - North Terrace and B2 - West Tce) are going - much patronage as yet?
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I very much doubt they are going to print new timetables-this pattern has been happening for a while now(cost cutting?).They will only get printed when major changes occur.
With the O-Bahn routes that have been altered,another reason I would believe is that when the new tunnel opens later this year,there will need to be a revision of all O-Bahn timetables due to the time saving as a result of using the new tunnel,plus G40,528 and 548 services travelling via Grenfell Street.
As for other routes it will be interesting to see if DPTI(the Government) decide to make major changes prior to the March 2018 election?

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I've noticed that new bus stop on West Tce - B2 for the 864 route - is before B1. Is this the only place in the CBD where the stop numbers are out of order?

Not the only location; a couple I can think of are
East Tce Y1 and Y2 are out of order.
Glover Ave X1 comes after Y2 Currie St.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I missed the full discussion on talk back radio but it seems that the new stop is causing traffic issues with buses laying over. Haven't seen for myself so can't be sure. Maybe it would have been better to have had a purpose built interchange either at or adjacent the nRAH.
Also, not sure about the 864 but the C1 still displays City - Currie Street. I would have thought that it would be re-programmed to City - RAH via Grenfell & Currie Street or something similar.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
With the upcoming changes to O-Bahn services I guess LCB didn't want to do 2 changes in a short period of time, as its quite expensive.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Some of C1/C2 drivers ain't serving stop X1 on North Tce & B1 on Currie St, one of them told me they got different messages about new stops, so some of them decided to only serve Y1 (at least they need to layover there)...
Shouldn't LCB tell every driver the stops exactly?

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
What makes you think that LCB haven't told their drivers about the new stops? Do you really think bus companies allow drivers to choose their own stops?UNV wrote:Some of C1/C2 drivers ain't serving stop X1 on North Tce & B1 on Currie St, one of them told me they got different messages about new stops, so some of them decided to only serve Y1 (at least they need to layover there)...

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I rode C1/2 several times last week, nearly every driver served different stops at West End, some missed X1, some missed B1, some served all three correctly, some even serve one more Y2.Eagle Eye wrote:What makes you think that LCB haven't told their drivers about the new stops? So I asked a driver why, he said what I posted above.
If it's not a thing, why did I post here??
Anyway, I made a complaint call to AdMetro last Friday.

C1T's no longer operate from stop W1 in Hindmarsh Sq during the evening peak. Only the C1X at 5.00pm, 5.15pm and 5.30pm assuming they are on time, which is a rarity.jibb wrote:With all services on the C1-C2 services to/from stop Y1 (excluding a few C1T's in the weekday evening peak from Hindmarsh Square) there is will be a good service to/from Currie and Grenfell Streets,and as I have said previously much quieter Clarendon Street terminus for O-Bahn buses.Eagle Eye wrote:New terminus for the 864 - stop B2 West Tce. Must be a new stop. It's odd that the 864 is extended but not the 863 which is essentially a short-working. Higher frequency to the RAH during interpeak than peak with all the various Hills routes that operate peak times!
It looks like stop Y1 North Tce is further east than it was before for route C1/C2.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I noticed today that all inbound C1 buses are showing "city west" as their destination so obviously destinations have been upgraded over the weekend.

Picked up all September 2017 O-Bahn timetables at TTP yesterday as well as City Connectors.

Subjectively it seems to be on thinner paper than other timetables as well. The typeface used is also noticeably larger than other timetables.
Looking forward to the next batch of changes
