Blue Mountains postcard......Spring 2017

Postby Centralian » Sun Sep 24, 2017 2:40 pm

Just a few images of possible interest, all taken in the last couple of weeks.

0000.jpg
Looks like a new AWC 001 'Dream On' premium vehicle in the Australia Wide fleet. Scania with current style Coach Design body.
Seen here ready to pick up a group from 'Lilianfels' in Katoomba.

Spotted in BM Transit Katoomba depot this morning was this M-Benz Sprinter demonstrator CN39JJ.
Is this the style of the proposed trial 'on-demand' buses for certain areas of Sydney ?

Another M-Benz demonstrator spotted at Valley Heights depot in the last couple of weeks
is this Volgren Optimus bodied unit CH55NL. Has also been out on route service.

0003.jpg
Thought I'd stepped back in time last week when spotted a couple of Bankstown liveried coaches at Echo Point.
Still carrying accreditation for Collins Coachways P/L is TV3076.

An infrequent visitor with new accreditation is TV 8154 Scania K113TR with an AD 1995 body.
Now accredited to STA Buses, Smithfield.

Very interesting selection Stefan!!!
North Sydney Bus Charters purchased Bob Collins shareholding in Collins Coachways Pty.Ltd-hence the continued use of that accreditation.
Can you kindly give me the the complete acc details on TV 8154 please Stefan.???
Cheers.

Just a correction to the above information is that Bob Collins retained his shareholding in Collins Coachways Pty.Ltd.

S.T.A. Buses Smithfield ACC No 40399.

Also a close up of the 'solar panels' noted by CCCC.

Considering the Paint job on the roof, they probably can't afford new batteries :

The new accreditation for Sydney's Amazing Coach Tours is Independant Building Supplies Pty.Ltd of 125-127 Woodpark Road,Smithfield. That indicates an ownership change from Rob Griffiths.
The address is Hopkinsons depot.Wonder whether a Hopkinson family member re entering the fray ??
Interesting.
