The Outer Harbor & Grange lines will face a much longer closure - they will close a few hours after the SANFL Grand Final on Sunday 24th September until Sunday 3rd December.

Looks like the bulk of the Port line tunnel will be constructed during this closure. Sounds like the last train to ever cross Park Tce at grade will be on Sunday 24th September.

I would imagine that both Lonsdale and Morphettvilles "R" series Scania Artics will get used on these substitute services.

Torrens have managed to cover all the other recent Outer Hbr/Grange line closures (weekdays and weekends) without using the R series artics. And they now have two extra artics down from Darwin.

torrens are really good at building rail sub work into shifts compared to other operators who have them as seperate shifts. When did these 2 artics arrive? and what make are they and im guessing they are parked at Mile EndTT wrote:Torrens have managed to cover all the other recent Outer Hbr/Grange line closures (weekdays and weekends) without using the R series artics. geez talk about giving commuters plenty of notice to plan alternatives must also be a nightmare for Southlink to find drivers and shift cutting for the Gawler line closure
