Let's hope that temporary shuttle does not get too tangled up with the tram construction works - more 25km/hr speed zones, just what we need in Adelaide!

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
These names sound as though they date from the days when there were two digits and a letter for each bus route (such as the 155 being a 15E (hypothetically). I can't believe that they haven't been updated.
However, they're probably easier to recognise than what a 3 digit number would be (say 983 (a 98C for example)). I guess there's no real need to fix what isn't broken after all.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
C stands for clockwise, A stands for anticlockwise. So labelling it the 97A at least conveys the information that it's anticlockwise (not that there's a clockwise version of the 97 by the sounds of it, but at least it's consistent with 98A, 98B, 99A, 99C).
And no the B10C doesn't run clockwise, that C stands for City terminating. LOL.

And when the C is a prefix, e.g. C1/C2...TT wrote:And no the B10C doesn't run clockwise, that C stands for City terminating. LOL.
For those new at the game this was a variation of the J1/J2 but terminates in the city, and with no connections or other similarities to the J1/J2 any more there really is no reason why the C1/C2 "numbering" should remain.
Then there are also the 100C, 167C, 200C, 300C, 750C, 751C and 865C. These 'C' suffixes don't mean clockwise or 'terminates city'!

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Not to go off topic, but what does the 'B' in B10 stand for, then? I hope it's less obvious than 'Bus'.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Will people who wish to go to nRAH from Grenfell and Currie Streets be able to board C1/C2/864 buses?
Will C1G/C1T buses go to/from new RAH or only C!/C2?
Will C1G/C1T buses go to/from new RAH or only C!/C2?
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I would guess yes and yes, just like all J1, J1A & J1H detour via the old RAH now. And there are no C1T/G go to the city, all are called C1.
What about N1 & N864 I guess no.
What about N1 & N864 I guess no.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
No but C1T and C1G run from the City,as does C1X.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Emmm...that's a question, all 3 remained outbound C1Xs departure from Hindmarsh Sq.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Seems odd that the 864 is one of the routes singled out for being diverted as it doesnt serve the old RAH
You got a real flash bus, but my one's flash one, eh
And I believe that my one's faster than yours, Mr Bond
'Cause mine's a red one'

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
It might be to give all three service providers a share of the additional kilometres - TT get the 97A; LCB get extensions to C1/C2 and SL get extensions to the 864.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
New C1, C2, 861 and 864 timetables were released as well with above mentioned ones together this noon, but now disappear.
Luckily I downloaded all of them
C1, C2 and 864 series would be extended to new RAH as well as N864 but not N1

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
I look forward to seeing the location of new bus stop Y1 on North Tce.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Stop B1 on West Terrace (adjacent McDonalds) doesn't appear on either map. All other West Tce services in that section service it.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
All changes for the 3rd September for the new RAH are now available on-line.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
New terminus for the 864 - stop B2 West Tce. Must be a new stop. It's odd that the 864 is extended but not the 863 which is essentially a short-working. Higher frequency to the RAH during interpeak than peak with all the various Hills routes that operate peak times!
It looks like stop Y1 North Tce is further east than it was before for route C1/C2.

Re: Service Changes for nRAH
With all services on the C1-C2 services to/from stop Y1 (excluding a few C1T's in the weekday evening peak from Hindmarsh Square) there is will be a good service to/from Currie and Grenfell Streets, and as I have said previously much quieter Clarendon Street terminus for O-Bahn buses.Eagle Eye wrote:New terminus for the 864 - stop B2 West Tce. Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Compared with the versions I downloaded last Thursday, the only 2 differences are the stop locations near nRAH and no extension of N864, no changes in all other times.
Re: Service Changes for nRAH
Will be interesting to see how traffic including buses copes with left turn from Morphett Street into North Terrace,as the green light cycle is not very long!
