Keolis Downer

Post by Skexis »

New owners of Southlnk. According to Wikipedia Keolis Downer is a joint venture between Keolis, a French transport group, and Downer Rail, an Australian engineering company, itself being a subsidiary of the Downer Group. An interesting read broadly relating to Downer can be found here. A side to Downer I knew nothing about.

That's because Downer are involved up there. I just thought it interesting how an outfit like that is connected to buses in Adelaide, much like Light Cty Buses has a connection to the offshore detention centres on Nauru and Manus.

I'm curious as to why skexis is referring to KD as a new owner. They've owned it for more than two years now.

Yes it would have been more correct if he was referring to Newcastle Transport which they acquired this month.
