A Merc O500LE Euro VI with Gemilang bodywork in RedMet livery has been spotted in Victoria... And no, not an April Fools joke.

Southlink got the Volgren Optimus, Torrens got the Cummins BusTech. So maybe LightCity will get the Merc Gemilang? Although I've heard that these buses are on trial for the government and may be shifted around between depots and between contractors so that they all get the chance to put input into the next tender.

Torrens also got the Wright Streetlight thing at Mile End. I've heard some very unreliable rumours that the Citaro may be trailed on the track, which would suggest LCB.

Tenporary Rail Closures from Easter for 6 days on Gawler line between Mawson and Adelaide and 10 days full line closure for Grange and Outer Harbour services for Torrens Rail Junction works.
Subsitute timetables not available at time of sourcing link.

The Wright Streetlight thing is a Torrens owned bus I believe whereas the other 3 are owned (or borrowed or leased as trial buses) from the Govt.

Timetables for train subs on Outer Harbor, Grange and Gawler lines are now on Adelaide Metro website.
And proper full timetables this time, not just the "then every half hour on Outer Harbor and every hour on Grange lines from 7.08am until 6.48pm" (or something similar) that were used in January that people had so much trouble reading.

Terrible route "numbers". Who comes up with these?

What's with the GA1 late at night from Adelaide? Does it continue through to Gawler Central or terminate at Mawson Lakes and leave people stranded? Sounds like there's some information missing.

Doesn't mention about transferring at Mawson Lakes. I assume down trains will depart from the down platform, with trains switching either at the switches before Port Wakefield Rd or somewhere near the depot?

I can't believe the travel time between Adelaide and Mawson Lakes is 35 minutes at both 5pm and 11:30pm. Obviously traffic conditions haven't been taken into account, and buses in the peaks may miss train connections while the night trips could be slow and having to sit at every time point.

It was exactly the same with the G1/H1 timetables in January. They had about 6 or so minutes from Woodville station to stop just around the corner on Port Rd. Can't remember exactly which one it was, but it only took 2 minutes 4/5 times. I once saw one of the coordinators chatting with a driver until the vehicle was about 4 behind schedule, and then left and arrived at the next stop on time!

I don't even think there was a PDF file showing the timetable. Seemed to be only printed versions, and ones for RTI apps.

Which company will be doing the rail subs? Any old buses being used ?
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.

I believe Southlink will do Adelaide to Mawson Lakes.
Torrens Transit will do Grange/Outer Harbour lines.
As it is school holidays many peak hour runs will not operate, freeing up buses for Rail subs.
No old buses only current fleets will be used.

Scania L94/CR224L #3208 was the last bus to use (or at least, be able to use) stops 2, 4 and 7 Glen Osmond Road this evening. Just more numbers to be skipped for the Hills, maybe it's time for a complete renumber (when you consider stops 15, 17-24 Mt Barker Road haven't existed for nearly 20 years, now a few on Glen Osmond Road as well. There is also the prehistoric numbering on Upper Sturt Road to consider, as well as the many suffixes on the stop numbers for Greenhill Road).

With regards to the previous discussion about Stops 90 and 91 Dumas St (Mt Barker), on further inspection it appears Stop 90 has stayed the same, and it is indeed 91 which now resides opposite the Park'n'Ride, with the top of the sign saying "Route 839 Only". I can see why it may have moved there, as buses laying over at stop 90 (running early) block one whole side of the road, whereas the new Stop 91 is indented. If the timing point was moved I can see a much safer and easier to navigate Dumas St.

Doing a 171 yesterday; it was interesting to note that the BCU had already been updated; removing stops 2 and 4, and updated stop locations for those stops moving.

A radio call went out a week or so ago asking for volunteers to move artics from Lonsdale to Elizabeth on Easter Sunday morning. I'm guessing it'll be R800, 801 and 802 given their R prefix. Be interesting to see Southlink make despatch every day if they are three buses short before they even start the day.

LCB will probably loan their "R" artics to one of the other contractors for Rail Subs.

They're not LCB's "R" artics, rather the government's on loan to LCB.

Regarding Skexis's comment re: dispatch, due to it being school holidays there shouldn't be any issues, with the various school buses not running I'd imagine there'd be a few spares. Worst case scenario a few rail sub rigids from Aldagte could be transferred for the holidays, with many many school routes in the hill not running, there are plenty of spares during holidays.

I take it R800/1/2 have been transferred from Lonsdale to Elizabeth as well, is that right?
